I called a cic agent and told me that my eligibility is met , bgc has not started and visa office is ottawa. My question is : Elegibility met is the same as passed?. Should i order gmcs notes now? My aor is june 1 fswo.

We are almost in same boat, as per guys here, Met is equal to recommeded pass which is done by junior officer, its needed the senior one to make it passed

For me it was on the page with other assessments like eligibility, criminality, security, etc. Below it was file assigned to: **** and due date ****

ON MY FIRST SET OF THE NOTES Due date was august, on second notes due date was October, they haven't done nothing on due dates,you can see from second notes that someone have loge in profile but no changes where made, so MY guess is that they just set another date.

Then yes list it for both of you but explain in hers that she was not the primary applicant.

yes they can def set a new date but at least they touch your files once lol! Oh and you never know they might have finalized your case already (due Oct) and your PPR might be on the way ;-)

Those due dates don’t have any meaning. Looking at various gcms notes finding is that the due date is always one month after the date on which a particular action was taken like assigning to another person or center. As per my notes the due date assigned for background check was 7 September. But nothing has happened

Nope. I haven't yet. Thinking to order by end of this month if at all I don't get any update.

If you are based in Montreal then most likely you will have to wait till November.

You can see more cases from Montreal on the thread in my signature. You can post your case there. Also, how do you know your file is in Montreal. GCMS notes or call with agent?

I sent them an email in July when they said that my Visa office is Montreal and also that everything seems to be in order with my application. Yeah, it looks like I can do nothing but wait.

The date on COPR will be 6 months before your passport expires or before the medicals expire. I read someone got a COPR date medical expiry + 1 week. So usually we should be inside Canada before the medicals expire as passports might most probably be valid for much linger time!

how do we know when senior officer will approve recomendations?after criminality and security and medical are done?

As per guys here, it should be converted from met/recomended pass to be PASSED

As per my understanding this should be before background check, but some guys here have started background check before clearing the eligibility, so iam not sure abt this
