I just checked my CRA account and found out my married date is wrong, i double checked on my husband's own and it's even a different date on there.
The status is married though.
I tried changing it but it's not allowing me.
Does anyone know how this can be changed? Also will immigration be double checking this bases on my application . ?
Please help.
Thanks in advance

It's not your marriage date. It's the effective date. Varies when you file taxes and state your status has changed. You know how they ask as of Dec. 31 of the year your filing for.Nothing to be worried about. Helps calculate the benefits you are entitled to and from when.

It is your status from January 1st to December 31 of the year. For them, the exact date of your status change doesn't really matter, but the last day of the year which will determine your benefits based on your marital status of the end of the year. This allows them to evaluate benefits that you are entitled to over the last year.
