Hello again! Like everybody I cant link to GCKEY be4 I thought it would be so easy but ain't..APP RECVD: 30JUL-2018, AOR1: 09 oct
Can we link our application with the temporary application number... it wont let me, can someone help me out?!
Hey guys. Let me explain something about GCKey and the application number.

To link with GCKey, you need to input the PA's information. If you already have an application number, the easiest selection for the first set of choices is "application number and last name". The application number should always be in this format: F000654321. If you still have the temporary file number, just remove the X in front of the F.

For the second set, you have an option of passport details and city of birth. I selected the city of birth of my PA. Make sure that you're typing it just like how you did the application form. If you typed "City" in the application form, then include that. If not, just write the name of the place without City.

For the last set of questions, input the city and province in Canada that the PA will go when she moves in the country. It is what you also inputted in the application form. For the number of applicants, make sure that it's at least "2" which stands for the sponsor + PA. If you have any dependants, just add them to that number.

Please note that a lot of applications received on July 3,9, and 11 are still waiting for an update. Nobody knows why for certain.

Hi everyone! I just did my medical today, and the doctor sent me an email with an "emedical information sheet", she said I have to upload it on mycic. She also said she is going to send them the results. Do I really have to upload this thing and where?
Thank you.
I would do it as we all know one or the other can be late :) Not too sure but possibly Dr's report will o to MEDICAL Officer 1st and your report will definately go to your file . Which won't hurt any 1 there...?

Welcome to Family Class Sponsorship JULY 2018 thread - OUTLAND

Hi,

Feel free to ask questions, share thoughts and seek advice.

What happens after submitting my application?

If your application is complete, you will receive Acknoledgment of Receipt (AOR1) whithin 60 days, usually 45 to 56 days via email.

Then, if eligible, the sponsor will receive the Sponsor Approval email(SA) which contains the UCI (Unique Client ID) and application number to use for tracking the status of the application.

Then, if not submitted with the application:

1. Police Check Certificate Request(PCC)

2. Medical Exam Request

3. Request to pay for PR Card (RPRF)

4. Request to submit additional documents, 5. Request for any additional documents that were missing from your application.

At this stage, you can check the status of your application online(ECAS) or link your application to GCKEY.

Then you might receive a file transfer email to the Local Visa Office(VO).

God speed
Hi revenant,
I feel writing to you since you seem to have a pretty good knowledge about the matter.

Here my situation. I am italian and my girlfriend in Quebecoise. We want to start living together for accumulate 12 months of domestic partnership so she can sponsor me for the permanent residency.

Here's where the doubts come:

1 - If I go to Quebec with a tourist VISA, can the time accumulated with that status count?

2 - If we decide she comes to Italy, can the time in Italy be counted for the 12 months. If yes what kind of documents are necessary to demonstrate?

3 - I saw on the Canadian Immigration website that you need to send some documents to prove the continuing relationship. Will I be able to produce those documents with a Canadian touristic VISA (Utility bills...)? In the case she comes to Italy, are the italian (officially translated) documents considered valid from the Canadian immigration office?

4 - If you know some resource (also private and trustworthy) in Montreal I can contact to have those info?

I am sorry for the number of the questions but we are trying to have the correct information to decide which option we should take to achieve our goal.

Ahaha I tried to call at 8:30 this morning — phones were already blowing up. Can’t believe that there are this many people trying to get in contact with IRCC. Might as well just wait rather than call.. it’s hit and miss with contacting them with a high chance of missing

I don't think this specific thread is good to pose these questions and really they have been answered multiple times in this forum.

Just a quick answer:
Are you living together already?

Just collect as much information as possible to link you two together to the same place and that shows a bigger commitment than just being roomates. (Open bank account together, share bills, maybe even life insurance, buy a car together and insure it under both names, get other insurances together, buy property together)
This documentation has to be available to prove at least 12 months of cohabitation. No breaks (not even 2 weeks of holiday alone).
Additionally show that you#re in a real relationship. Collect pictures and proof of things you did together (e.g. tickets for the opera, travels together etc).

As far as I know it doesn't matter what status you have while you live together. But are you planning to stay as a tourist for 12 months?
Documents from other countries will be accepted, just supply the original with a certified translation (which will cost you money, so try and get all documents in English or French in the first place for example the lease).
The problem with being a tourist while accumulating this time is that in case you have to leave, even for a couple of weeks, the 12 months start from the beginning... So consider this when you make decisions where to live and what status you try to obtain before you start.

Regarding your question 3: please do some research or pay an immigration lawyer to do it for you. These are pretty general questions that are easy to find out by using a search engine of your choice (opening a bank account as a tourist etc).

And as I said: therer are thousands of threads here with all kind of scenarios and questions asked, don't be so foolish to think your situation is very unique. Using the search engine I bet you can find most or all of your questions answered already.
(Sorry, I don't want to sound rude, but it is rude to expect people to go over your very broad question and spend time on them while they have been answered a million times already and the person was just too lazy to do their own research)

If you have any more questions just check the forum or if you think it hasn't been answered yet open a new thread (so others can find it and the possible solutions in that thread)

Love brother!

Hello all, my application to sponsor my spouse was received July 13, till date,no AOR. Attempts at calling agents have been unsuccessful. I tried to check my status via ECAS and it only shows date that application was received. No further information.
Please what does this mean?
Is it still possible for application to be returned for incompleteness,as i dread this most?
Thank you for your response
Hi Yhamo,

Please how do I check the day my application was received on ECAS, and to check my status.
