So another week passed without any updates....1 more week to 1 year....very disappointed with the performance of CiC and liberal...they changed the c-6 law without any prep that put soo many ppl in limbo....God bless Mississauga people who applied...we all sucks

My sister submitted January 4th, and her app has been in process since early March. Her app was sent to the Mississauga office. She still hasn't heard anything yet-- should we be worried?

Is it normal for CICC to get back to say that you have passed the security check? I ask because I'm reading old posts where people are saying that their security was completed and that they completed some fingerprint check. Is this normal? Or do most people immediately get a test invite without going through some extra security step?

yeah, I am sure it will be a “rest invite”, which would be a polite way of IRCC to say just shut the F up and continue to rest for another year till we finally start taking a look at your file

No, CIC does not give you any automatic updates about security checks. These are people who had requested their GCMS notes. These notes show you what steps are completed and what are still pending on your file.
Fingerprint- not everyone gets a fingerprint request, but if CIC needs it, they will send you communication. Otherwise, it’s directly test invite.
