The CIO is recommending that Criminality be passed, but it's just a recommendation based on your PCC as it's not the CIO that does the criminality checks
Funny enough my criminality was not passed by CIO. They recommended additional review for my RCMP report (which already showed no form of criminality).

Nice to know.....exactly the same situation for me then as my first GCMS notes showed that only R10 was done at the CIO before the transfer to Montreal. When I called CIC 2 weeks ago, I was told that the last update on my file was on 6 August. Hopefully, the initial eligibility check was done by a Montreal officer. Now, they are waiting for the big boss to finalize. Did you see counterfoil stuff in your GCMS? Was there a PRVUe in the notes?

I am just curious to know what they must have recommended for me as the agent didn't even know where to find whether the eligibility was recommended: passed or for review.

Anyways, am trusting in the Lord for positive conclusion for all us, Amen!!!
No I didn't see any counterfoil or PRVuE stuff in my notes .So I think there has been absolutely no work done on my background check.

Congratulations man.........I think a lot of activity happened between 6 and 7 August. The last time I spoke with a CIC call center agent, I was told that the last update on my account was on 6 August. Unfortunately, the agent couldn't tell me what exactly the update was. She just asked that I wait for them to complete the eligibility. Well, am waiting for my notes to see. Once more, congratulations!!! You just have to wait till whenever as they can't refuse your application anymore.
Last update on my file was also on the 7th of August, when my eligibility was Met
You're right, there's something about that date...haha

Wow either that’s true or it’s hell of a coincidence. May be that was the day they decided to work on files before taking one more month break.

Welcome to Montreal!

How do you know eligibility recommended pass. I'm assuming notes would not have arrived by now.

Just to give out some useful information, they put eligibility review required on June, 8th. And then nothing changed till the time the notes were generated (August, 20th).

Montreal will test every ounce of patience in us. I don’t get the hold up in Montreal. They don’t touch files for months. I can understand that happening at Ottawa given they handle large volume of files.

My guess is Montreal exclusively used to process only Quebec files and our files are like additional burden on them and hence we are not top priority work for them.

Anyone knows numbers specific to Quebec immigration? How many people every year ?

Yes, it will be nice to get numbers. From what i have heard: Montreal/Quebec folks are not very welcoming compared to rest of Canada specially if they dont speak French. So most likely they dont care about federal cases, hence the slowness. Wonder what percentage of cases from US go to Montreal too. We might be the unlucky 5% :(

So on June 14th they passed medicals and recommended eligility pass and criminality pass same day? Thats not the norm with Montreal it looks like. Or was your file transferred after all this was done on same day?

Seems like copy paste error to me. That’s it.

In my profile, for additional documents, the status is 'We do not need additional documents' since mid-july. Anyone else here with the same status for additional documents?
