Finished Masters degree, but already have enough points. Can I apply now?

Hey all,

I finished my Masters degree in August, but will not receive my certificate until December, and therefore can't have it approved by WES until then.

I already have enough points - can I enter the pool now and apply if invited, or do I need to wait until December after my MA is verified by WES? My BA has already been verified.

My concern is more that I want my profile to be accurate; if I apply now and I'm accepted then will there be an issue when I have my degree verified in a couple of months?

Not at all. You can inform them about your new degree in the middle of pr processing as well.

Yes u can apply if u have enough points now. And after u receive your degree you can update it

In that case go for ICES. Get a letter from your university stating that you have completed your degree and the parchment will be issued to you in December. Mention the duration of the program and the requirements and any other program related information. Ask your university to email that letter directly to ICES

If you have enough points without the degree, mention the Masters degree in your personal history in eAPR.

Yes. I submitted my profile to the pool while waiting for my Masters to be assessed. It doesn't hurt anything, and if you have enough points as it is, save the money you'd spend on the ECA.
