No - just How to get a job in Canada message in my account (along with email) on June 27. I called on September 4 and agent said my eligibility is passed and background check not started

Even I called Sep 1 St week and got to know same status as you... Planning to call today..

Congrats to everyone who got their PPRs today.

You guys have me checking constantly for updates in my account. The addiction is back.

Hopefully October will be a great month for all of us.

I think we are more vocal about our anxieties, fears, excitement and find comfort in sharing with others who are in same situation like us

One month since I applied for GCMS notes. Forget PPR waiting for notes is also nerve wrecking!! Hope to get notes soon and bigger hope is to find positive things in notes.

I am precisely doing that now The agent told me this morning that eligibility has passed, criminality is in progress and security has not started. But, when i called last month they said eligibility is under review and both criminality and security are in progress.......So, I am not sure what the actual status is now....confused

Take what the agents tell you with a pinch of salt. There have been numerous cases where applicants were told nothing has started but they received PPR in few hours. So some agents don’t go in to details and give you most recent information or may be it’s not visible to them in certain cases. Either way your best bet to see actual progress is GCMS notes.

Just kidding but maybe ordering gcms notes would help or calling them again sometime this week might let you know correct status from some helpful agent...

Don’t worry buddy. You’re not alone. Patience -> restlessness -> desperation -> anxiety -> nervousness -> anxiety -> apprehension -> patience.

It’s all a big cycle. We all are in the same. If you can try and skip a few steps and go back to patience. Else, it’s perfectly fine to follow the cycle too.

One day the cycle ends with exhilaration when you see the PPR mail.

No update since then. It still says we are reviewing your eligibilty. Is it IP1 stage?

Tensed because my work permit is expiring on 30th novemeber. Though i can apply for bridging work permit until final decision is made on my application. But what if I dont get PR and have to re apply again. The very thought of Going back to india and waiting for another six months is killing me. I have a white collar government job here. Tensed

There are still two months to go and hence you may get PPR by then. Apply for bridging the work permit. You will get PPR sooner or later. So don’t worry about not getting the PPR.
