Just completed a 1 year, 47 credit program. If anyone else has completed a similar course and applied for PGWP, can you let me know what duration PGWP you received?

A one year course as confirmed in your graduation/completion letter from your college would get you a one year PGWP. This is clearly stated in link below

Do you happen to know if I will also get 1year PGWP if I only studied full-time for 8 months then for my last term I have to do part time for my last remaining subject? Total of one year all in all? Or I will only get 8 months? :)

Thank you

Thanks, Bs65!
The thing is my University issues a letter stating that the course duration was 2 years/ 45 credits ( 3 continuous semesters: Fall, Winter and Summer, which actually constitutes 1 1/2 academic years).
I found out now that two of my class mates, who attended the exact same course, went to the US Border (flagpoled) yesterday. One of them got a 1 year WP (because he completed the course in 1 calendar year) while the second person got a 3 year WP ( because the University stated that the course duration was 2 years, making her eligible for a 3 year WP).
Now I am even more confused. This is not logical. Shouldn’t there be more to this process than pure officer discretion or just plain luck?

Hey, I have a similar question before I select a university.

The course I want to apply for is 1 to 2 years.
I want a 3 year PGWP, but for that will I have too study the course for entire two years or will can I fast track it and still get 3 year PGWP?

There is no easy answer other than there is a statement about accelerated study in the guidelines in that I guess if on completion the uni states it was a 2 year course but was completed in accelerated study mode in less time. It is a very grey area so would not like to say whether would be successful in getting 3 year or not.

Thank you!

I actually emailed two universities regarding the duration the exact duration of the course and unfortunately none have responded back. :(
