Hey guys, quick update:

My wife received Interview Request email on Sep 11 at the Vienna Canadian Embassy. Today, Oct. 2, was her interview and everything went well! The interview took about half an hour. The immigration officer was very welcoming and said he was satisfied and believes our relationship to be truly genuine. He told my wife that she can go back to Serbia and they will email her with further instructions. I’m guessing that means Pre-Arrival and PPR are just around the corner!

In the mean time, I’m going back to Serbia this Saturday to celebrate our wedding anniversary :) Good luck to everyone else!

Here are some of the questions they asked my wife:
  • How did you meet your husband?
  • Where are you and your husband going to live in Canada?
  • Which languages does your husband speak?
  • Do you and your husband plan to have kids? If yes, what religion will they follow? (my wife is Christian and I'm Catholic)
  • What's the meaning behind your matching tattoos?

No lining up for the machines.
I handed my Passport to an officer who made some notes on the card we usually receive on the plane. He them directed me to another room where a second officer asked for the immigration paper (COPR). Se asked me the address in Canada where my PR Card will be sent to, then she explaind about the PR Card and told me that my next step should be getting a SIN.
Then I got my luggage and went through customs. The officer just demanded the Goods to Follow list.
Everything went smoothly.

Hey guys, here's a final update from us!

Vienna VO just issued my wife's counterfoil and CoPR. We will pick up her passport on Monday and she will be leaving on November 2nd. It's been such a long journey, almost 11 and a half months... now we can finally start our married life here in Canada.

I wish every single one of you the best and to be reunited with your spouse as soon as possible!
