hahaha! I would have believed 100s....1000s is a little far fetched at this point. Going forward, given the higher immigration targets, I think the sponsorship applications would also increase in a corresponding manner. Right now I feel it might just be a matter of understaffing or unfamiliarity with outland applications........
They r jss giving lame reasons i guess..

Hey Folks, Looking for some guidance. My application was received by the CIC at the Sydney intake office on July 4th. I haven't received an AOR or any communication from CIC so far. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to follow up on my case? I tried contacting them and its quite challenging to get through to them.

Thanks in advance.

Sponsor's Location: Cornwall, ON
PA: United States
Received Application: July 30th, 2018
AOR 1: September 30th, 2018

We received it a few days after my husband called them.

Just got an email from the government.

It says this:

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2018/07/20 on behalf of the following member(s):

I take it that this is AOR1 ?

(application sent to Sydney. Email received is signed at the end with CPC Mississauga)
(I am the sponsor, and I received the email).

Hi,

Anyone still waiting for AOR for application received at Sydney office in first week of July? Mine was received on July 06 and still no response.
I am in the same boat. Not sure if you've had any luck on getting information on your application. I will be trying to call them next week.

Was it addressed from Mississauga?

Also the email I received (I'm the PA) was addressed to my husband, the sponsor. Is this just a simple mistake? I don't know why else they would have sent that email to me if we had my husband's email on file too

Welcome to Family Class Sponsorship JULY 2018 thread - OUTLAND

Hi,

Feel free to ask questions, share thoughts and seek advice.

What happens after submitting my application?

If your application is complete, you will receive Acknoledgment of Receipt (AOR1) whithin 60 days, usually 45 to 56 days via email.

Then, if eligible, the sponsor will receive the Sponsor Approval email(SA) which contains the UCI (Unique Client ID) and application number to use for tracking the status of the application.

Then, if not submitted with the application:

1. Police Check Certificate Request(PCC)

2. Medical Exam Request

3. Request to pay for PR Card (RPRF)

4. Request to submit additional documents, 5. Request for any additional documents that were missing from your application.

At this stage, you can check the status of your application online(ECAS) or link your application to GCKEY.

Then you might receive a file transfer email to the Local Visa Office(VO).

God speed
