HI,

When did you take your citizenship test in Scarborough Town Centre? I took it September 6th and I applied on the same time as yours.

Hi All,

I applied for Citizenship on 30th October 2017. I received the first email on 14th December that they got all my information. I got the citizenship test date on 14th August 2018. My test was scheduled on 6th September 2018 in Scarborough Town Centre. I am an applicant from Mississauga. I am wondering when will I get the ceremony date. Does anyone from 6th September 2018 test date got his/her ceremony date? Also, I want to ask, typically, how log do they take to send you the ceremony date info?
I've noticed the average is 5 months, not three months as stated on government official website, for Scarborough office. One lady at government told me Scarborough is the busiest office, so that is why it takes longer than what official website states. I noticed although I applied later than you, I got my test earlier. It seems there is no criteria!

Anyone here who has rescheduled their oath, or knows of someone who has?
What was their timeline for rescheduling like?
Is it true that CIC takes 7-8 months to reschedule? And most cases need MP involvement to push the rescheduling?

try NOT TO RESCHEDULE AT ALL COSTS...This will make you have to wait. What if you had to travel back home for any emergency and then you couldn't attend the ceremony? Please do not!

I have already rescheduled! I told CIC I will be out of country for a certain number of days and despite that they still scheduled my oath during those exact dates. So I had to reschedule.
I got call for oath on 2nd Aug, it’s now almost 2nd October! They said rescheduling takes 1-2 months but I’m very seriously doubting that and concerned. So I’m hoping if someone knows anyone who’s done this before to give me some insight!

poor you.... i would cancel everything for the oath... i wish someone can help you here. when i took my oath on sep 4, i asked the staff to confirm if IRCC closed the Scar. office and they told there are just so many applicants in Scar. office so it will not hold any oath for applicants whose original primary office is Miss office.
