I applied for refugees in May 2018, my nationality is Nigerian . what month and year can I expect to have my hearing? any forecast is welcome.

Refugee hearings are running about 18-22 months, then another 32 months for your PR after a positive decision. Sometime around Christmas 2019 would be my guestimate for your refugee hearing.

Recently my lawyer told me now timeline is around 12-18 months. I guess IRB trying hard to reduce wait time for hearing.

Mine was also 11 months, accepted today

Your other post says you waited a year to get a hearing date so over a year. Just pointing out that getting a hearing this fast is not the norm and people should not be expecting such a fast hearing and then be disappointed.

I understand, it was 11 months and a few days actually which I rounded off to 12 (so 11 or 12, i'm not exactly pressed on getting the exact time right), I also see how that might be confusing to most. I know it's not the norm but I was speaking about my own personal experience. I expected it would take me well over 20 months, but it didn't. My point? a precise time cap cannot be put on a hearing date.

I came in with my family on 20/8/18. We were given a hearing for 24/1/19. Is there likelihood of postp
