Dear Fellow applicants,
I am coming to you to seek some counsel.

My ECAS are still showing "In Process" but on friday I received two new updates that respectively said: 1. I have to write the citizenship test on October 10th; 2. I have to appear for the oath of citizenship on October 11th.

Based on what I've read on this forum, these 2 events usually are not this close and I am wondering if its normal.
I am not complaining as I think it would be great to get it over with, but just wondering if anybody else has seen this before?

Omg! i cant remember a lot of years names of the people. i have never been this stressed in my life! dont know where or what to focus. Im so nervous and not confident. I really want to pass:(

I felt the same way at first. So what I did, I went through all websites offering free exams and practiced and practiced. I got an idea what to focus on. Then after I read the book, things became clearer. I had two sheets on hand, the first, whenever I encounter a date/year I will write it and specify what happened in that year. On the other sheet, I did the same, but with people names. Made things easier to review. The exam I went for was much easier than any of the practice tests. 20/20

This close, never. Usually weeks. I was surprised in my case it was 13 days. One of the fastest. You beat the record. Possibly someone had to reschedule and a spot opened, and that's why you were called.

That's what I thought too !!
They said they sent both letters by the mail last week; so I should probably receive them today with more details.
Hopefully it's not an error on their end...'cause i would really like to finish this in 2 days.

This is just normal. It happens to some applicants like me (I’m a March applicant). In my application my ECas was updated same day for invitation to take the test and oathtaking. I had my test on Sept 14, passed my test and had my oathtaking the same day (Sept. 14).

Hello Admin,

I took my exam on September 21st and had the oath ceremony the same day in the afternoon. All my process is completed!

Thanks you guys for all your support and good luck to everyone!

cheers!

Hello,

Please update my time line

July 05 request to reschedule test date
New test date Oct 09.

Please update both me and my wife passed test 20/20. Looks like no chance of getting oath soon as they said process to be finished by 1 year (applicable to all not only for me). Was expecting to hear 4-6 weeks :(

Don’t worry, that is standard time. I was told the same thing and my status changed to DM 2 weeks after my test
