Thanks Jaski.
The CO did tell me that my background check had been done and I got DM the day after the test. I guess there's a backlog at the office.

I am so FRUSTRATED. I called CIC again today because my background is in process for like more than 6 weeks. I don't have any links with any complicated countries. I have been in Canada for 9 years. They are honestly unbelievable and every time I call they remind me processing time is 1 year. Gosh I hate dealing with immigration !!!!!

Hi everyone i applied at the end of march and my application went in process on June 12. I am over 55 years. I have not received anything regarding test, interview or oath. What can i do? How can i contact them?
I applied around the same time as you did went IP May 29 nothing since then getting really frustrated the waiting is stressful

I have a DM from a week now but letter about Oath Ceremony , how long this usually takes?
You asked this question last week and I replied. It varies from application to application. Mine took 3 weeks. Some can be quicker, some can take more time. There is no set timeframe.

Yeah I guess we have to keep reminding ourselves that the timeline is 12 months :p

Compared to the PR application process, this is a breeze! Permanent Residency was stressful. But with this there is no stress at all.

Hi,
Do they send a paper mail (including some document that you need to take to the test) when they send the test invitation?

Hi tuhinpaul,

I got the invitation by email and this letter is required as hard copy to produce while attending the test. Good luck!

Thank you for letting the world know.

The application status update reads:

We sent you a notice on September 12, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 19, 2018 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

But I got the email on Sept 24, whereas they mention Sept 12 here. So I thought they had sent a paper mail before.

Hi Guys,
I have submitted my FP 2 months ago and still waiting for any type of update from CIC. Is anyone in the same boat?
They asked me to submit FP at 325 Milner Ave, Scarborough
Do you think I should try give them a call?

Hi @dev514 yah couple of us are in the same boat. I submitted mine on end of July...now it is October :( I also sent mine to Scarborough. Hopefully will hear something this month.

You can call them, and IF you get through, they can verify if they received your fingerprint or not.
