Racist panel physician office. Switching to a different location!

Hi, my girlfriend is applying for her PR status through express entry and she is doing her medical examination at the Panel Physician North York located at 2065 jane street.

The staff there was extremely racist towards us (the racist being an immigrant herself, go figure) and told us to go back to our country. The funny part is I have been a Canadian for more than 20 years, probably longer than this woman who is of brown complexiom and either fillipino or south american by descent.

Anyways, the owner Kevin seems to condone racist behaviours here because upon our complaint, he decided not to apologize and actually tried to remove us from the premise. I guess with this type of manager, I can see why racist behaviours is tolerated.

At this point, Im deeply upset and have 2 questions for you guys:

1. Is there an oversight board or govnt entity I can call to report this highly offensive racist behaviour by their staff? In an immigration exam center no less!

2. How can I transfer my gfs medical file to a different immigration medical exm location because we dont want to deal with this racist location anymore and we can't even communicate with them anymore but our file is still with them.

You can try contacting IRCC at 1-888-242-2100. It's possible if there's been multiple complaints on the same location they could do something. It's been my experience the clinics/doctors that IRCC contracts with aren't always of the best character. The doctor I went to actually had his medical licence suspended, but somehow IRCC felt he was a suitable panel physician.

Did your girlfriend actually complete the medical with them? If so, it would likely already be submitted to IRCC and I would think there's not much you can do unless she wants to re-take it elsewhere.

This racist clinic is not even returning our phone calls so I have no way of getting her file out to another location to continue her application process. Its being held up there like some kind of hostage situtation.

I did but only after the fact because nobody really have their phones recording everything 24/7. There was no time to capture while it happened but I know what u are saying.

Still, im not letting this pass, there must be a place i can file a complaint. We have a right to see any panel physician if we feel at all uncomfortable with our current location.

Your best bet would be to contact IRCC. I'm not entirely sure if they could force the location to release the file to another clinic though.

I understand but then doesnt it mean that there is a potentially hold up situtation or the current location is forced to see our application through. How can they both refuse to see us and withhold our file from being released?

This is a ridiculous situation that i really hope i can issue a formal complaint to their regulating agency!

I think your first step would be to request in writing that the location either transfer the file to another physician OR void the submission (thus allowing you to go elsewhere). If they don't respond, you have proof that they're non-responsive to your request. Then contact IRCC and explain the situation. Does your gf have an ITA yet?

Write first while you try other means. Putting things in writing as quickly as possible gives evidence of their non responsiveness.

Yeah, i just wrote them a brief email confirming our appointment with them are still on. If they refuse for whatever reason and wont release our file to a different location, we are going to take legal action against them
