Hi Expert,
I have done Bachelor of Business 3 years,Diploma in CertIV (1 year) and Diploma in Hospitality management (1year).The CIC under FSW says that :-
1)Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal(at least one must be for a program of at least three years) 22 points
2)Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal 21 points
3)Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a two-year program, or equal 19 points
4)Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a one-year program, or equal 15 points
5)Canadian high school diploma, or equal 5 points

So i have two diplomas 1 year each and bachelor 3 years which point category i be under??

Hi, it is when you have your certificates assessed and you see the Canadian equivalent of your degrees that you determine where you fall. Arrange for your ECA - Educational Credential Assessment to see what your certificates are equivalent to in Canada then you can calculate your points. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

It also depends upon your college/university as if college is not accredited by appropriate authority, they may reject ECA of the degree. For Ex: WES has clearly mentioned that they don't assess Sikkim Manipal University degree.

As per details given by you, your education equivalency may fall under "Bachelors" category and hence, 1st category which gives 22 points can be your answer.

Highly Disappointed,
Hi Guys...just got my GCMS notes and saw that my file has been incorrectly assessed.
Have a look at the image in the link. Its the screenshot of my GCMS notes assessment section.

https://ibb.co/cnD7me

the note from the assessing officer says that my PGDM would not be considered although WES has approved it as one year of graduate study which in all forums and CIC CRS calculator accumulates to points of 2 or more degree.

Can any one suggest on what I can do?
My WES certificate clearly has recognised both my education certificates which are from UK one is a Bachelors (4 years equivalent) and my PGDM in marketing is equivalent to One ear Graduate Study.
Apart from this I scored 9,9,8,8 in IELTS and all my other paperwork is showing as MET and eligibility Passed.

Please help guys...need suggestions to sort this out....

did it say one year degree? one year of graduate study would amount to incomplete graduate studies IMO

WES says one year graduate study ... my consultant advised me that this was fine before I filed my application ... my score was 466 with it and now it’s 435 without it I guess

it's like they're saying you did year 1 of a year diploma. that's how i see it anyways. please read the thread link i gave you
Read the thread ... again mixed answers with the last one claiming that Cic has just updated their site and the new rule says one year graduate is eligible for 2 Certs or more ... although I have the diploma certificate and had competed the entire course.

just saying how i see it. cic has the last call on this. you can contact them to see. if they haven't contacted you yet for a refusal it could've been overturned.

Guess we won’t be migrating ... it’s a shame after all this hard work and all assessments getting clear except this one tiny education bit which all
Consultants advised is fine and the scores also said the same on the cic crs tool ...
sad few days ahead ...

Spoke to an agent today ... she said that it’s the same status she is seeing San my notes where points below cutoff due to education .... in the end she said that the application is still open and no work has been done in it post that ... so she couldn’t tell me wheather they will straight away reject or maybe ask for some docs ...

this is a more recent one from 2018. comments say credential 3 which is one year of graduate study doesn't count.

i'm surprised with your ielts score that you still scored so low. what is your points distribution? are you married? does your spouse have a good profile if you switch?
