also, you are a may 2018 applicant right? applying for gcms notes right now will not help you, they will not have done anything on your file. GCMS notes basically will help if you have not heard anything and you are close to the end of the 12 month period.

i order also early in the process and there was nothing on it important and no updates

pre-arrival usually comes once ur eligibility is passed so now its gonne be background check, then decision made, then PPR

you can apply also, it needs sponsor signature also and payment, but it will need to be sent as if its coming from sponsor as they are the canadian citizen/PR, you can use their name and info and apply from Pakistan, that should be fine. they will send the notes to sponsors email.

You can only apply for such notes WITHIN Canada, any other information is false. This is from the website : "*To be eligible to make a request, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada. Please select the category that best describes you." and the website is : https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/privacyTerms.do

Congrats dear! I'm also an October 17 applicant, keep me posted. I don't know if my background check has started because every time I have called CIC from the very beginning it said that they were conducting the background check so I don't know what to think.

sometime they digitalize the documents and forward it to the concern processing center.
i hope they will do it with your file as well. wait for sometime and you will hear from them.
AOR has no specific time, sometime it come in 30 days, sometime in 60 and sometime it goes beyond.
mine came after 3 months in 2017

I am june 27. I received my UCI and file number today. Also they request a document in order to start processing of my file

This procedure is all over the place. I don't know what is going on with immigration. Honestly I find this stupid. For spouse the procedure shall be no more than 6 months. And we are not receiving AOR's until 3 months. My application was received on 9th of July and still waiting for the damn AOR.
