E CAS says 90 days now. ,means most apps till jun first half should have been cleared. Quite appreciable info.All the best guys.Cards are usually sent within a week of approval and other 5/6 days to receive by post. But with strike of Canada Post looming after 26 sept,it would add to anxieties .IRCC should use Fadex or UPS or other means to avoid delays

Wow. I'd never think the Chinese convenience store would be the best place to get them. Hopefully there isn't a problem with mine because Henry's uses all the latest biometric gadgets. I think IRCC tests your pictures by putting it in a machine like them and seeing if the facial recognition passes the photo.

Go for some photo business they really care. Doesn't matter how small it is. Only if making PR passport photos is their very important income resource. I had bad experience with some cheap but named photo center such as Walmart, Costco, or CVS in US. You get a random employee and they could make everything a mess. Because, they do NOT CARE.

IRCC should suggest some studios or ask people to go their centres for Photos to avoid such confusions. These issues are frustrating surely as delays over delays derails travel plans. Infact IRCC should issue eTA to let people travel for the period(3/6 months) till PR is issued ,with multiple entries.Otherwise also multiple visits visas are issued to tourists too.While international travel is a norm,more liberal approach will keep applicants comfortable.If travel by private vehicle has no issue,why cannt one travel by air or public transport( e TA will allow them to board). People might be tempted to travel via US and walk across while returning.An additional comfort is needed as times changing and people getting mobile

IRCC approved photo centre would be a good idea. Though, I do wonder at times, how hard it is for a commercial photographer to follow the photo specifications outlined in the IRCC website. The Staples employee who took my photo initially had messed up. If the employee had been careful & had paid attention, I wouldnt have to run around now.

hello, yesterday evening i got email for AOR for me and my family members. today i checked status, it says decision made. however i can see following details :

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 31, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 12, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on September 12, 2018.

Parcel tracking info. My application was returned back to me due to incorrect photos. So resubmitted again.

I am not sure of the wait times now.

I hope there is no strike, we don't want our PR cards to get stuck in post

No. Still no update on my application. Its does not show anything when i check my status. May be i will call them today to get my status.

I just called cic representative to know my status updates. He said that my application envelop is not opened yet and they are currently processing late May applications. When i asked that some other people who submitted application on same day or after me and their status is updated , he said that some envelops got mixed so they open them.
He also mentioned that even processing time shown is 90 days but still in worst case scenario we add extra 6 weeks into that to complete the processing. So according to that calculation he advised me that by 23rd October , my application processing should be complete.

So yes lets hope for the best .

I also forgot to write my name and DOB but applied on Aug 13, I spoke to IRC agent he advised me to send pictures again and write urgent on the envelope and on letter of explanation mentioned previous application tracking number so they can match with it.
if you are able to see application received on online application tracker i think they have accept your application usually they just send whole application back before updating anything.
I have seen cases where applicant forgot to write DOB and name still they got their PR card.
lets hope for the best. and please update when you will receive your PR

Thanks for your reply Kamil. I sent a letter with my new photos, apologizing for my mistake and gave them all my details, such as Client ID number, address, payment receipt number etc, so hopefully they are able to match my information up and can match my photos to application. I guess we will see though! Good luck to you!

Status is still sitting as Application Received. The wait continues!
