Hi all, Finally after a long wait of 26 months got decision made on my ECAS.
Can somebody tell me how long it take to get passport request after decision made?

I am 8 Aug 2016 applicant, just got letter requesting an interview at CIC office in 5353 Dundas West next week - 29 Aug, detailing all documents to bring for closing up the application " We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that is scheduled for 10:00 AM on AUG. 29, 2018. Your interview will be conducted at:xxxxxxxxx"

Not sure what else CIC wants to know from the interview.

I will keep you posted next week.

Sept 22, 2016 applicant. Still waiting for "THE BG" check to be completing......

My closed wp will be expired on Jan 10, 2019 and thinking to apply for extension. My AINP nomination certificate has already been expired and can not apply for extension as I have already got extension once. My AINP certificate has no employment restriction but has employer name and NOC/position mentioned. BOWP application requires to add pnp certificate as a supporting documents.
1. Am I eligible to apply for BOWP as I have closed work permit?
2. Should I still add this expired PNP certificate even though its not valid anymore ??

Please advise if I am still eligible to switch from closed to bowp and can apply with expired pnp certificate

I did the same thing my permit expired in August, I have applied for an extension in July and attached expired PNP cert. My WP is closed, but I think you can still apply to extend yours. I'm still waiting for a reply from them, 2 months already. While you're waiting for an extension even if your permit expired you can still work until the new WP arrives. That's what I was told when I called CIC. It's not your fault that bloody PR takes forever to come.

How did you know that your security check start last week?

Mp inquired about my status and that's what they replied to my MP " The most recent update from IRCC on your file was that a note added on August 27, 2018 stated that an RCMP officer will review your file for security/background checks."

My interview was on 29 Aug. COPR was issued on spot right after being asked few questions including are you working or on welfare, do you have any other children overseas, are you married?

Hope you will soon get PPR or intervew.
