Someone else means relatives, friends etc. obviously fund from spouse's is highly acceptable.

Yeah, I don´t think that´s true. I´ve read this forum extensively and I´ve seen many people obtaining PRs through gift deeds from siblings and aunts/uncles. Unless you can point out to specific cases in which PR was rejected due to gift deed issues then I would suggest we don´t make broad declarations, as it might affect others negatively.

Hi all,

I'm presently not residing in my home country and I'm asking my parents to transfer the required funds to my bank account in the home country and get a gift deed from them to use as the proof of funds along with my bank statement. But, as I am not residing in my home country I will not be able to sign the gift deed that i have accepted. The gift deed will only be signed by my father and my mother as witness. Would this be OK? Or is it compulsory for me to sign it as well?

Thanks for your time.

Hello all, I have a situation. I’m working in Qatar for the last 3 years and 2 months. Every month I remit money here to India to my mother’s account, wife’s account and my own NRI account. I never had the required funds completely in my account. I got money from my mom and wife which was sent by me earlier back into my account within a time of 3 months and opened a fixed deposit on 29th September. How do I prove to cic that it is my money and not borrowed or gifted ? Is there any affidavit format ?

Dear Seniors, please share your best knowledge:
Asivad Anac said: Yes. Anything that proves the credit into your account and debit from their account.

What if transfer happened through cash influx ? How could I prove debit from their account? I mean my parents gave me cash, not transferred it from their bank account or else.

I listed everything I attached in the Proof of Finances PDF, and explained that the settlement funds have been gifted to me by my husband as can be seen from the attached gift deed. That was pretty much it. I mean, it's just an explanation of the situation, it doesn't need to be anything technical.

I guess u are already in canada by now... just wanted to l know the gift deed u made was accepted?

Hi,
I am receiving the X amount from my brother and Y amount from sister for gift deed.
Do I need two separate gift deed from my brother and sister? Or one should be good?

One is better
Yes its acceptable from siblings, mother , father, uncle any blood relation...

From all the discussions above, is my understanding correct that I can make the gift deed in plain paper and have it signed by the person who is giving me the money and that will suffice?

Are you sure gift deed is acceptable only from blood relatives? I want to show fund transferred to me from my father-in-law. That should be ok, right?

Father in law is OK and acceptable. But make sure the deed have your & yours wife name.

VO means visa officer or CO case officer. Some says to get it notarized, some says not to. As i am in sydney, i would have definitely get a satuotory declaration which is the same as getting notirized. I would suggest to get it notarized. Thing is there are no set rules. Few did it & few didnt. No harm, if you can, it ll make your docs stronger and more supportive.

Hello guys,

Currently, I am in Canada, I don't have enough money on my bank account here and my parents are willing to provide me a settlement fund. But the problem is my parents are back home and I am here in Canada. So I will not be able to sign off the gift deed paper. So is it okay if the gift deed is only signed by my dad. And also is it okay just write it in plain paper and signed it off by my dad?

hello guys I submitted my FSW application. I attached all the statements but I missed to add gift deeds and LOE. Also gift deeds are from my dads business credit limit account. JAN AOR. what should I do?
