WES - MBA (masters) evaluated as Bachelor's degree

Hello everyone,

I have a 3 years diploma (Textile) + 4 year BE (EEE) + 2 years MBA(Distance education - Master in system management). = ? WES

My Spouse is having 3 year (BSC) + 2 year (MSC) = ?

Can some one tell me what could be the WES evaluation result. Which one I may need to choose EE in PR application.

Is there any way to evaluate my self before evaluating with WES.

Equivalency too says for me : Bachelor's degree (4 years), Postgraduate Diploma (1 yr)
Spouse : Bachelor's degree (3 years), Bachelor's degree (4 years).

So Can I choose one or multiple degree for EE in Immigration form for both myself and spouse application ?

Yes, you should choose multiple both for yourself and your spouse.

Hi

The recent policy changes in WES will now make my MBA evaluated as a Postgraduate Diploma (1 year) and because of this, I will be losing 8 points (7 for me and 1 for spouse).

If I get my ECA done with IQAS or ICES, will the assessment be different?

I have done my Bachelor in commerce from Mumbai University (3 yrs full time) and Master in Commerce fro Mumbai University (2 yrs distance learning).
While creating WES profile, I added both my degrees for evaluation. Will this help me with CRS score or only Master Degree was more than enough.
Because the problem is that now when I have added both degrees for evaluation they have asked me to submit transcript for both BCom and MCom. I have already received my transcript for MCom. Now again its difficult and time consuming to gather BCom transcript.
According to WES free assessment tool even if i get only Mcom assessed I able to get equivalency of 4 yrs bachelors degree in canada and if I get bcom and mcom both assessed still equivalency remains unchanged.
My questions are:
1. Is bachelors degree transcript evaluation necessary for Indian education Masters degree?
2. Can we ask WES to modify our application for assessment to only MCom and remove Bcom assessment?
3. Will this reduce our CRS score?

Unfortunately, WES requires your UG transcripts too for completing the evaluation. If it is troublesome, try sending your transcript to agencies like IQAS which don’t really emphasise on UG degree transcripts

WES website says that they need UG clear copies only for Masters evaluation and not transcripts for UG. But if we want to assess both degrees the nyes we need two transcripts. Need more clarity on this. It is so confusing. sad part is I have already made the payment to WES so cant contact IQAS now.

Hi everyone. I am Bachelors of science from Punjab university and have MBA full time 2 yrs degree from Symbiosis University, Pune.

I had sent my documents to WES for evaluation. Bachelors transcripts were sent directly from Punjab university whereas MBA transcripts sealed envelopes were couriered by me which later WES got verified during the process.

I have got an incorrect evaluation report which says "Equivalent to Canadian 4 yrs Bachelors and 1 yrs PG diploma"...

I have a Masters degree not diploma. Can someone plzzz guide me how do sort this out now.

My questions are :
1. Can i get it re-evaluated?
2. Do you think i may have done some mistake while creating my profile for eg. : In field, i chose Marketing as it was my major. But my subjects were general management also... Do you think i should have selected management?
3. I didn't attached sealed copy of Degree (as i read few forums which said its not required). But i did send a photo copy of my degree in the parcel. Did this make a difference?

Guys, it's EQUIVALENCY. Sometimes you get something different then expected.
I have a 2 year MBA in Brazil that got evaluated as 1 year post-graduate, which in Canada have the same hour load than the one I have.

It seems that the hour load of the degrees are a major influence in what they will consider equivalent.

I got my PDF report yesterday and my Bachelors got evaluated as Bachelors 3 year and MBA got evaluated as Bachelors 4 Years. Do i put 2 or more degree option when entering EE profile or calculating my score?
