PR residence has been submitted. Can Canadian employer apply for a work visa for me?

I submitted all my documents for approval for my Permanent Residence in July. At the same time, I just accepted a job in Canada. Their lawyers are going to speak to me tomorrow about them processing a work visa for me.

What happens if this is accepted and I have a work visa while my PR application is awaiting approval. Or is it better to tell my work I am likely a couple months away from that being accepted?

Well if lawyers are involved, why don't you just tell them about your current situation and how that you were awaiting a PR approval and they can decide how to proceed? I mean it works in their favor that you got the PR application going on anyways.
