I finished Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering but currently working in Information Technology field as a project manager (IT I believe is a subset/related field of Electronics somehow). I've had this role for over 7 years and I've been in the IT industry ever since I've started working.
In my personal activities section of the express entry (I'm updating the form as I've already received an ITA), I have 6 month unemployment from the date I have graduated and the date I have started work and the reason is that i've reviewed and took the licensure exam for Electronics Engineering in my home country. That is the reason I indicated there why I was unemployed. But the thing is, this license is not required for me to be employed in the Information Technology field, it's just that I want to be 'licensed' as an engineer in my country.
Question is, will this be a cause of rejection? There is a question in the express entry form asking if I need license to practice in my field (the NOC I've used is 2171 - Computer Systems Analyst) which I've said NO, but here they will see that I took a licensure exam in my home country for Engineering.
