Updated. Congrats!!got oath request today for 29th august at Mississauga Please update line 154 (CanadaGoose)
Thanks for your great advice. How about if I tell them about my travel, they will say okay. You can travel as I have valid passport from my home country and I am also having valid PR card, so basically I can travel. Also, they might say due to work overload and backlog the process might take longer than 12 months. Regarding local MP , I am living in Mississauga , do you have their phone number by any chance. Thanks very much , I am waiting for your advice tooCall cic, let them know so they can add notes in your file about your travel, also its been delayed long enough! they should have all the steps done within 12 months, I was frustrated because I've been waiting for oath since May, seeing your situation I feel your case is worse than mine! For you they might just schedule test and if you pass oath will be next day or so, if you can postpone traveling, postpone, otherwise if you have to travel, call and submit IRCC form, some people say if you show them booked flight and so, they might expedite the process, or you can also call your local MP, they can contact the officer directly who has your file, might be able to help as it's already 10 months for you.
They always say processing is 12 months, I won't be syrpsurpr if they tell you it might take longer,Thanks for your great advice. How about if I tell them about my travel, they will say okay. Put your postal code, it'll show you the mp,
As I said, if you can, postpone your travel, if you have to travel , submit IRCC form, but do call cic first,
I think it's from received dateHi all. Is the 12 month deadline counted from day the app is received in Sydney OR from the AOR date? thanks

I called, then they sent me a authorization form to fill up, after I did that they were able to talk to the officer, but didn't help cause all I got was the same reply as cic agent, it's approved, waiting for oath to schedule, but I've had friends who got extra information from mp, you can give it a tryThe other thing if I contact the member of parliament should I call or email? Absolutely, some MPs constituency assistants will get you extra information. However, They don’t have much control until it has passed the average processing time.I called, then they sent me a authorization form to fill up, after I did that they were able to talk to the officer, but didn't help cause all I got was the same reply as cic agent, it's approved, waiting for oath to schedule, but I've had friends who got extra information from mp, you can give it a try
Exactly the same as my experience - basically they called IRCC for me with the same answer , which saved me 30 minutes of waiting on the phone lolI called, then they sent me a authorization form to fill up, after I did that they were able to talk to the officer, but didn't help cause all I got was the same reply as cic agent, it's approved, waiting for oath to schedule, but I've had friends who got extra information from mp, you can give it a try
Mine are the same as you but the only difference is that they started to process my application on January, 9th,2018. I think the one year period is when they received a complete application.Mastering the art of patience, one hour, one day and one week at a time! This is all mine still says and both guys I spoke to at the CIC said my file/case is so straight forward they are not sure what's taking so long at the Mississauga office:
I know, I know, be patient...hang in there lol...but I am curious, the 1 year processing time rule - it applies from when to when? From Nov 6 2017 to Nov 6 2018 or from From Jan 2 2018 to Jan 2 2019?
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 6, 2017.
