420 does seem like a long shot, considering the trend this year, I see last year they went as low as 413
438 is not that impossible though...
Last year number of applicant in pool were far below compare to current situation, and looking at trend its going to increase than decrease. Only hope i can see is getting bigger draw size then 3750. That too without skipping a biweekly draw.

Last year CIC went crazy on conducting draws in April-May, that's why it went 413. Half of 2018 has passed and CIC seems has no intention repeat what they did last year.

Applying for jobs and getting positive responses?? Seriously, where? On Job Bank portals? Can you please throw some more light?

Or are you in a specialised field with serious labor shortages in Canada?
I believe that linkedin is a great platform and indeed is a great consolidation site but, it all depends on the industry and your job profile. I work in the IT industry in the Project Management doman. There are opportunities out there, I don't mean it's a cakewalk. I started applying a few weeks back and have heard from a couple of companies, I see that as a positive sign. I spent almost a month to create my resume and cover letter trying to make sure it stands out. You need to identify how you can differentiate yourself from others...my two cents

i guess some of us and that includes me had some doubts on change in age affecting the crs..I guess for those the below link would be useful.

http://askkubeir.com/what-if-my-age-changes-after-i-recieve-ita/
I am at CRS 440 and yet to receive ITA. My birthday is coming on the month of November and I will be loosing points in November. Based on the above link, do I need to receive ITA before November or do i need to submit the application and get AOR before November?

Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA
An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.

When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.

This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.

As per this information, we need not bother about our birthday after we receive an ITA. Please Correct me if I am wrong.

I really wish I tried out last year :( With 435 I would have surely made it. Really regret it for starting it this late :(
