Would you happen to know if I can get a work visa? My husband has the two year Iec work visa and I have a 2yr visitor visa? I am 31 so I didn't qualify for the iec visa. Is it only lmia visa I can go for which is just restaurants and tourism etc?

You may qualify for a open work permit without the need of LMIA only if your spouse is working in a skilled position.

I just spoke to someone from IEC and he said it sounds like a grey area to sub contract cause the iec visa states you come for a holiday and be employed which means u have an employer that pays you a wage. He said u just get to work for any employer besides the obvious ones you can't then he said to contact immigration if we want to go down that path! Why is it so hard?!
