We finally submitted our application yesterday. How will I know my visa office? Is there a London (UK) visa office or is that London Ontario?

Please can someone tell me what to expect going forward?
What’s AOR? When should I give biometrics?

doesnt matter which visa office. your application is online and there are no physical files and can be picked up by any officer. however if you want to know your visa office you can call them or enquire thorough webform. but its too early for your application

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt. Confirmation that the authorities have received your application.

Give it some time to CIC to open your file. Keep checking status on your CIC account.

That is London UK if your residence is UK. But assigning case to Local Visa office takes some time. If your AOR is recent i.e. July/Aug, dont worry about it at this stage, it might still be in Canada, also you cannot do anything about it regardless of which LVO it is assigned to.

Yes but what can you do to influence it.
Wait couple of months from AOR and then enquire about LVO. Initial processing is done in canada and sometimes the whole of it.

I have no intentions of influencing anything! I wanted to know just to calibrate expectations

You need to wait atleast 2 months from AOR, and then you can can call cic to ask VO. It may still not be assigned to LVO though.
