However, my Work Permit is getting expired on 1st October 2018. Should I proceed and apply for extension or should I wait for one more week for the golden email?

You might want to apply for a BOWP in advance.

If you get PPR in the next couple weeks, you can request a witdrawal and fee refund. If CIC hasn't started the BOWP processing, they'll refund you. I have a friend who was in a similar situation, but the case was PGWP (her spouse applied as PA under CEC), and she was fortunate to get the refund. At least you'll be playing safe.

No one can predict a PPR solely based on timelines. You're around the 100 day mark, and the expected processing time for Express Entry is 180 days for 80% of the cases.

My tip would be requesting GCMS to know your real situation, and if there isn't a short term scenario indicating that you'll receive PPR, get in touch with your employer to renew your WP.

I think ordering GCMS will take around 30-40 days and I definitely need to apply for extension before then.

Would it be okay with CIC, if we apply for Closed WP extension along with PR in progress?

I don't care if they won't refund the fees, but it should not slow down the existing PR process

Don't worry, the WP extension application won't affect your PR processing.

Again, the only possible verification they can do is about the authenticity of the letter. They can't double check balance and/or financial situation, since bank secrecy rules are usually very strict in most countries.

I find it very unlikely that immigration agents can reach out to your account balances.

IP1. Does not matter. If there are no issues with your application, CIC will process it long before the 180-day mark. Good Luck!

I was just wondering is it possible to for file to go under ELIGIBILITY REVIEW required if the status by the analyst is recommended pass?

I have two experience one of them I am sketchy about job duties as it does not match exactly and other one employer's address is home address so I am bit worried, thinking about ordering GCMS notes.
Any input is welcome

Same happened with me I called them they said it’s in Alberta and after a week they said it’s in Ottawa lol don’t know what’s happening and they said its still under eligibility review AOR 18 th may

Good to know that mine is not the only one bouncing between Alberta & Ottawa Have ordered GCMS notes, lets hope for the best.

what do you think, is this normal to take 2 months to start background check, and i am not in Canada so how can i order GCMS notes ? looking forward to send mail to CIC to know my file processing office.
