Hi Everyone... we received PCC and other docs request via generic email on June 5th and was given 30 days to submit all the necessary documents.
since then no update from Ottawa..... background check has not been started yet?????... it's almost 2 months... should I be worried or do something???? are there more applicants like us???? btw medicals have been passed since May 24th

Do you think that the email that I mentioned we got is some sort of positive sign for our case or is it just a generic email that they sent.

I am also in the same boat. Medicals passed since May 22nd and PCC submitted alongwith other docs before May 22nd.

Nothing so far. Its been quite. Background check not started

Ecas has been showing 'Decision Made' now for 3 weeks yet still no change in MyCic, it still shows Background Check in Progress.
Called the Call Centre but they said that they can only access applications if they are being processed in Canada (ours is LVO) Used Webform asking what is going on but no reply yet.
Had a request for photos on the same day as 'Decision Made' which we did.
Anyone else been in a similar situation?

you can write them but note Ottawa has a lot of applications, have to wait your turn

Just a quick update,

MyCIC just updated IME as Passed status, medical was done on July 30. Took 3 days.

Now I'm just waiting on BC, no additional requirement so far.

Need help with following questions:
1. How long after the submission of police check will they request the passport to be mailed?

2. how many days will they give you for mailing the passport? When will you receive it back?

My parents ‘s police check will be ready and submitted around Aug 10. And they are thinking of traveling abroad 2 week’s sept 10-24. They worried the passsport request may come prior to their trip.

Any advice? Thanks!

Congratulations!!

How long it took from getting request to pay RPRF fees and medicals to get the passport request.

We got request to pay RPRF fees, but at the same time our case is different as my parents had to go for medical furtherance, i.e., sputum test, letters from all the doctors my parents go to telling about their health condition, CT scan, plus x-ray. Everything else is done but x-rays as this needs to be done after 3 months from original.

We got request to pay RPRF fees today.

July 27th, 2017- Sponsorship Application sent to IRCC Mississauga
Aug 2nd, 2017- Application received at IRCC
Nov 2nd, 2017- AOR email received
Jan 5th, 2018- Sponsor Approval received
May 23rd, 2018- Received request for Medical
June 4th, 2018- Medical done
June 5th, 2018- Generic email received for PCC, Travel history and Employment
June 18th, 2018- Medical submitted by the Panel Physician
June 28th, 2018- PCC, Travel history and Employment history sent to CPC-CTD-Ottawa email
July 12th, 2018- 'Medical Passed' status updated on My CIC Online account
July 18th, 2018- Background check Started status changed on My CIC Online account
July 20th, 2018- 'Pre Arrival Services' email received
July 20th, 2018- Status changed in ECAS to 'Decision Made'
July 20th, 2018- Passport request email received
July 23rd, 2018- Passport sent to Ottawa
Aug 1st, 2018- Passport received back along with COPR
Aug 10th, 2018- Appointment booked with immigration office in Etobicoke for Inland landing
