It's 31st today in New Delhi, India (my residence):
1. Is it possible to finish an entire application in 1 day and get it submitted
2. If yes, the processing time is 7 weeks, which surpasses my course start date which is 3rd September 2018. So, is there any point reapplying today?
1. Yes it is possible as you are only adding SoP and missing marksheets, not applying from scratch.
2. Many applications have been processed under 7 weeks, if you search the forum, u'll see. Depends on strongness of your application but generally it'll take a month.
As pointed by user mrbombastic, pursuing diploma after btech without solid explanation won't help as it is generally a straight reject.

So do you advise that I should reapply on 31st July itself, or should I wait for the January intake?

To indicate the relevance of my engineering graduation in Electronics and Communication with the CPL(h) aviation course I've written the following in my SOP, your comments will be appreciated:

As my stream of Engineering was Electronics & Communications, I am aware of the technologies used for Radio Communication between the Air Traffic Control & the pilot in the aircraft. Moreover, the study of Electric technology (studied in semester 1:’electrical technology’, ‘electrical technology lab’) & electronics (studied in semester 2: ‘electronic devices theory & lab’ 3: ‘analog electronics I theory & lab’ and 4: ‘analog electronics II theory & lab’ ) equips me to further comprehend the Electric & electronics circuitry involved in airborne vehicles. In my First and Second semester of graduation, I studied the subject Applied Physics in which I gained the knowledge of Aeronautical Principles. In the Second semester I studied Engineering Mechanics that included theoretical as well as laboratory work that further added to my knowledge of Aviation and the principles involved. The Fifth semester included the theoretical and laboratory subject of Control Systems in which I studied about the various electrical control systems used in airborne vehicles. Furthermore, the Eighth semester included studies on Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks which helped me learn about the various sensors and electronic components of helicopters, airplanes and electronics used to design autopiloting systems.

I have always been interested in the field of Aviation and during my graduation have pursued self-study in the topic ‘Robotics: Aerial Robotics’. I have a certification for the same from University of Pennsylvania. This is an online non-credit course authorized by University of Pennsylvania & offered through Coursera.

You have not addressed the big issue that why are you pursuing a diploma course which is done after 12th instead of masters (after btech). Visa officers look for career progression. Rest of your reasoning is good.
If you apply today, either your visa will be processed in time or not.
If not, they will ask for updated LoA for January semester.
Other option is to get updated LoA first and apply for Jan semester.
Pursuing diploma after btech is a big no, don't know why they didn't pointed it out in first place.
If you want exact reason of refusal, apply for CAIPS notes (1 month wait). I think its better you get them seeing that processing visa in less than a month is difficult.
Consult others also. See what advice they give.

I read the reason again, proposed study not in the light of previous qualifications is mentioned. Better if you apply for caips notes. It'll tell in detail the point raised by visa officer.

Hi, I have applied for CAIPS notes. I did so on 30th July.
With regards to your previous 2 messages I am figuring that you suggest going for the January intake and re apply for a student permit for the January intake with the help of the CAIPS notes. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, its better to be well informed of exact reasons so to address them carefully. There are bunch of reasons in 'other reasons', many can be applicable in your case or only the missing marksheet one.

Hi Gandharvm/Darthv,

Friends, I need your help. Could you please lemme know the exact steps to be followed in order to apply online? What are the documents required and which specific column is meant for documents. I am not taking any agents services.

I also wanna inform that I have a visa refusal, previously my visa has been refused on the grounds of funds only.

Can you please help?

Thanks,
Krishna

Aren't you already late for Sept term application.
In online application form, there is question mark in front of every column which tells you what to upload in it.
For the last section (client information) you should upload SoP (highlighting previous reject addressed, also see johnsnow answer above), semester wise marksheets and degree of graduation, 10th n 12th marksheet, ielts, any proof of support for strong home ties (job offer, property, parents settled etc) and whatever documents you can attach to support your SoP.
In proof of funds, whatever you are submitting for showing funds (scholarship letter, loan approved letter, tuition fees payment slip, GIC, bank statements of you and/or sponsor) and sponsor support letter.
Rest of the sections are pretty straightforward.

Thanks Darthv for your revert,

I'm not applying for September intake because there is no point in applying again for the same intake. I've recently got Visa refusal on the grounds of Funds and Embassy took 49 days to respond on my application. I also obtained the CAIPS notes and the same reason is mentioned in the report which is stated on my refusal letter that the visa officer is not convinced regarding my Funds/assets. I am confused that why they have raised the question regarding funds even when I had showed adequate amount in the bank account i.e 25 Lakhs in my elder brothers account and that too was an year older excluding GIC and tuition fees. My brother was the sponsor.

This time I would apply on my own and preferring to lodge my visa application through Online, although I don't know the precise steps, that's why am seeking your advise because I don't wanna make any mistake.
If I'm getting right, do you mean to say that I must upload all the academic, work, financial documents, CA report, SOP under the last section (Client Information)? And is there any format such as pdf, jpeg etc. prescribed to upload the documents? I believe it would be around 150-170 pages if I gather all the documents, I wonder how would I upload all these pages? Also, do we need to scan an original copy of our documents or first we need to notarize the copies of all our documents and then scan & upload one by one?

Bro, I am applying under the General Category not in SDS so where do I need to mention this? And in online application, do we also need to fill all those documents in the same manner which we fill while submitting offline or paper based application?

It would be much appreciated if you assist.

Thanks,.

I applied on 31st July online for a study permit and since they haven't provided any space for attaching IELTS scorecard, I forgot to attach it. Will they ask for it when they process my application or simply reject it. I have mailed them regarding my problem but i haven' received any reporesp from them.

It doesn't really matter if you show a huge sum of funds that the source of it presented as evidence isn't convincing enough to the VO and if/maybe a huge funds was lodged in at an instance.. what source of funds did you show and was the funds lodged at once?

You have to upload any relevant documents that will help your case no matter how tiny the paper seems to be. If your document pages are much, this is were PDF compressing comes in, you are to compress all your files to size the stated 4MB by CIC

CIC advise to either use a scanner to scan or a high quality digital camera to snap. Since its online, you can also either upload scanned originals or notarized photocopies, its when applying through paper route that its utmost advise to apply with notarized photocopies as CIC won't be returning them even at their own convenience except you request for it. You can merge files together and remember to convert them to PDF, and yes, scan one after the other.

The forms you will fill is same similar way as the offline just that this time, it will be done online

This is your own costly mistake, CIC won't share a blame. Its advisable for you to either send the IELTS score card through email or using the webform.. failure to do this "MIGHT" cause a disturbing scare to your application "IF" your application is not quite convincing or impressive

No, upload financial documents (+CA report) in proof of funds section, extra documents (SoP, academic, work) in client information section.
A sample document list from a guy
. Letter of explanation = client information.

And is there any format such as pdf, jpeg etc. prescribed to upload the documents?
pdf is the best option, you can compress and squeeze large no of pages in 4 mb.
I believe it would be around 150-170 pages if I gather all the documents, I wonder how would I upload all these pages? Also, do we need to scan an original copy of our documents or first we need to notarize the copies of all our documents and then scan & upload one by one?
depends on the document. most of the documents are to be uploaded original.

u dont have to mention this anywhere.if you qualify for SDS, you'll be evaluated in SDS otherwise general. Alternatively, you can include university/general checklist [IMM 5957/5818] from this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/student.asp?countrySelect=IN#applications

It would be much appreciated if you assist.

Thanks,.

Hi Johnsnow,
Thanks for your revert.

My elder brother was a sponsor and he showed adequate amount in his bank account i.e 25 Lakhs and more importantly that those FUNDS were more than an year older, not a fresh amount or did not deposit at once to gain a positive outcome on my application. I don't know why the Visa officer did not convince. To the contrary, I did not attach my father's bank statement because my father was not having adequate amount in his bank account but I attached his ITR to prove a source of income, my father is a retired official. This time I have been suggested that my elder brother should transfer his money i.e. 25 lakhs to my father's account so that we could convince Visa Officer this time that we are having enough amount to support my studies. I had obtained CAIPS notes as well and the same is there which was on my refusal letter that Visa officer is convinced regarding my funds/assets/financial. What do you suggest?

Moreover, as you know the size of the file which is to be uploaded should not exceeds more than 4 MB, Also, you suggested that I should merge all my files together and then convert all those files to PDF, can you please suggest the steps that how to make a PDF file and if the pdf size exceeds then how to compress it?

Please help. Thanks.
