Hello all,
I need your help on the following matter as I tried to check the information on the CIC website and cannot get a full confirmation.
My common-law partner has received a job offer through the Employer Portal (exemption from LMIA) and is ready to submit an application IMM 1295 for a work permit outside of Canada. The job offer is for a NOC A and for a one-year period.
I would like to know whether by putting my name as a common-law partner in her form IMM 1295 I could apply myself at the same time for an open work permit?
A little bit of background about myself, I am a French citizen with more than 5 years experience in the renewable energy sector with a BSc in Mathematics and Physics from a University in the UK and and PG Diploma from a University in the UK.
She is with me since October 2017 ( more than 1.5 year), we are engaged and leasing a place together.
Many Thanks,
