We officially have PR!!!! Can't believe this journey is over. How was the interview???
The interview was very straightforward, and the interviewer was very nice. He just confirmed first date of entry to Canada, and asked if the applicant committed any crimes, if we have any dependents, and if the applicant was denied entry to any country. He didn't ask the sponsor any questions, just focused on the applicant. He voided all the previous work permits and visas, including in the expired visas. He also asked if we were planning to travel in the next 2 months, as that is the estimated time for the PR card. We did have plans but now we will not be going.
And that's it. He printed the paper, which is just a plain white paper with information on it, and said to keep it safe, and said congratulations you are a permanent resident now. The whole process took 20 minutes from the time of the interview.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your support and help, our application would have never been so robust if it had not been for all your contributions. We are truly grateful to be beginning this new phase of our lives
