My ITA has come but the work permit is not ready

If you are claiming points for the job offer, it needs a written offer from your employer.

Work Permit is not a job offer, however, it is one of the document that you "may be required to attached, showing until how long your WP is valid.

Be very careful with this job offer document and ensure it covers all the points required by IRCC for claiming job offer points, as case officers scrutinize this quite a lot and have seen a lot of rejections in the past.

It should be 1 year from the day I submit my application in the pool, or from the day I get my ITA? I have seen somewhere that it should be 1 year after getting the PR. Which one is the correct?

I am an Intra Company Transfer (ICT) on a WP

• Job Offer made by my current organization in Aug 2016. This job offer does not have a "end date" it is local contract.
  
• After my acceptance, Aug 2016 the current organization started the WP and TRV process (I was based out of Canada during this period)
• WP and TRV processed and issued mid Jan 2017.
• I moved to Canada @End of Feb 2017, started working the very next day.
• Created and submitted an EE profile on 20 Feb 2018 and, ITA received on 14 March 2018
• My current organization provided a letter of reference listing my designation, job duties, salary, number of hours per week.
  
• AoR on 6 Apr 2018.
• Current status, eligibility, medical and criminality passed...

Your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident

I agree it may seem a bit grey, but if you see it from a broader perspective. If you have a job offer which has a start date and end date it comes into play.
But if you have an open ended job offer like mine, this rule is self addressable(atleast my thinking)

btw let me add one more thing. Neither my offer letter nor my Letter of Reference (or say the EVL, Employee Verification letter) had any statement that the job offer will be valid for at least one year after IRCC issues PR.

I think the point he is making is about document confirming your status in the country which is a work permit and the TRV. Hence you need to provide the document.
