I had applied for bc PNP with job offer without LMIA. Although I did not get any points for the job offer in express entry. I was on visitor status till I got PR. Now after getting PR do I need to work with that employer. And if in any case I can't work with the employer does it impact the PR card renewal or citizenship process lately.
Seniors please guide.
I didn't found any relevant thread to my query. And felt this thread is somewhat of same situation as status maintaining n renewal... sorry if I choose wrong thread.
It is entirely OK to pose a different question in a topic which the OP's initial query has been answered and the conversation is essentially over (as it was here). That is not hijacking a topic. So it was OK to ask here.
BUT of course there is the matter of presenting your question in a way which will invite those who can offer relevant information to actually see the question and provide responsive observations. A topic about calculating compliance with the 2/5 PR Residency Obligation probably not the best place for your question. (Note, the overriding subject of almost all these topics in this conference, this part of the forum, is maintaining PR and renewal . . . so that description fits just about any topic you could post in here.) If in doubt, start a new topic.
It's free.
I am not that well acquainted with the details of PR visa applications these days. Be they family class or Express Entry, or provincially sponsored, or whatever. So I am not the best source of an answer to your query.
That said, the foremost important thing is that the information submitted in the application, on your behalf, was TRUE. If the information in an Express Entry application is true, and there is no material change in circumstances between what was true when you applied and when you finally did the landing, all is well. What you do, who you work for, what province you work in, where you live, after obtaining PR status via Express Entry, is up to you. This is, as some are wont to say,
a free country.
That said, while it may be somewhat an anomaly here, I strongly feel that those who have a lawyer should rely on the lawyer WAY, WAY more than what I or anyone else here says. Your lawyer is the better source of information about YOUR case.
