If you go on November 15, 2018 no problem at all, however the officer might interrupt you and ask you why and where but will let you in and will tell you that you need to spend 2 years fully. Expect some lectures.

After you spend 2 full years in canada you will not have any problems renewing your pr card.

If you go after December 4 2018, expect to lose your PR status or reporting by the officers.

Hope it helped.

It will count but general advice is to not leave it too close to the limit, you shouldn’t have any issue other than maybe a lecture about the RO and as you have a valid PR card likely just be waved through no way of course to predict.

By the way where you say you became a PR Dec 3 2015 assume that was your landing date as that is the date RO starts from, the initial landing. So you have 2 weeks credit and in theory your final entry to still meet RO by Dec 2020 could be around Dec 16/17 but as said not advisable to leave right up to the wire as it were. Stick with the November 15 2018 plan.

Same advice to everyone as far as CBSA is concerned only answer questions asked honestly don’t volunteer information, such as hey I have been away for near 3 years, you may not even get asked the question.

I had applied for bc PNP with job offer without LMIA. Although I did not get any points for the job offer in express entry. I was on visitor status till I got PR. Now after getting PR do I need to work with that employer. And if in any case I can't work with the employer does it impact the PR card renewal or citizenship process lately.
Seniors please guide.

Why hijacking a thread that has nothing to do with your question? You are better of creating a new one..

I didn't found any relevant thread to my query. And felt this thread is somewhat of same situation as status maintaining n renewal... sorry if I choose wrong thread.

It is entirely OK to pose a different question in a topic which the OP's initial query has been answered and the conversation is essentially over (as it was here). That is not hijacking a topic. So it was OK to ask here.

BUT of course there is the matter of presenting your question in a way which will invite those who can offer relevant information to actually see the question and provide responsive observations. A topic about calculating compliance with the 2/5 PR Residency Obligation probably not the best place for your question. (Note, the overriding subject of almost all these topics in this conference, this part of the forum, is maintaining PR and renewal . . . so that description fits just about any topic you could post in here.) If in doubt, start a new topic. It's free.

I am not that well acquainted with the details of PR visa applications these days. Be they family class or Express Entry, or provincially sponsored, or whatever. So I am not the best source of an answer to your query.

That said, the foremost important thing is that the information submitted in the application, on your behalf, was TRUE. If the information in an Express Entry application is true, and there is no material change in circumstances between what was true when you applied and when you finally did the landing, all is well. What you do, who you work for, what province you work in, where you live, after obtaining PR status via Express Entry, is up to you. This is, as some are wont to say, a free country.

That said, while it may be somewhat an anomaly here, I strongly feel that those who have a lawyer should rely on the lawyer WAY, WAY more than what I or anyone else here says. Your lawyer is the better source of information about YOUR case.

Is 730 days the ONLY requirement for PR renewal after 5 years or are there others factors required? Like do u have to work or pay taxes in Canada along with the 730 days to be eligible for a pr renewal after 5 years?

The only rule to maintain PR status is to meet the residency obligation of 730 days in Canada in the 5 years before any new entry to the country. This is a rolling 5 years reset each time come back into the country, there is no work or tax requirement tied to PR renewal just residency.
