Hi all. I was lurking for awhile, now its time to share my timeline:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 25, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt on December 14, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on January 11, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on April 20, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
5. Oath Date: August 9, 2018 at 9:00 am. Received today by e-mail. ECAS is not updated yet.

I passed my citizenship exam in Scarborough, but the ceremony will take place in Mississauga.

Did you call IRCC recently? Maybe your file has been transferred to Mississauga as well.

Nah! It makes no sense to call them... it's a routine app and within the 12 months... However, I may contact them through webform once I confirm my upcoming trip.

True. Never wanna speak to them on the phone again. It only made me more frustrated but nothing helps.

Even my wife’s status changed to complete this morning around 8:30am...

She will apply it tomorrow...

I have a silly question regarding the Media release form, do i have to sign it when i arrive for the ceremony? Or i can have it pre-signed beforehand?

Yes you can signed where you want but date put down oath date. I sign when I arrive it was at door office was told me
