Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2018

Has the decision for sponsorship been made or the permanent residency? What about medical tests?
My update shows in-progress (changed July 17) - the documents are moved to visa office in New Delhi and they have asked for medical test. Does this mean the sponsorship has been approved?

I also provided SIN # as well as tax returns.

The decision was made for the sponsorship and the PR is still in process. We got no request for the Medical yet.

Can my Parents volunteerly submit their police clearance certificate and medicals along with the requested documents by CIC?

you couldn't submit the medical result.
Parents couldn’t get medical exam forms anywhere if cic doesn’t sent to them.on the medical form, there are their names, uci, file number, birthdate, address, and IME number.they don’t need to fill anything in the form. Without this form, doctor won’t do the medical exam.
Everybody will get medical request soon, because it is not like SA, officer needs to check the eligibility, for medical exam, every applicant is eligible for it, so don’t worry, just monitor your parents’ email or/and GCkey.or/and cic online tools.

for travel history which is form IMME5562. That is what i was told over the phone by the agent.

You should call them and ask them to read the letter over the phone to you. Coz we have no idea how long we have to wait until the Ottawa to upload the correct form for us.

here are my time line for sponsoring my parents:
mailed application (Mar-April 2018, can't remember exactly)
AOR received May 3rd, 2018
Met eligibility of sponsor and application transferred to Ottwa June 27th, 2018
Applicants' Medical, Police check, new visa copy, travel doc (IM5562), and resume request received: July 18th, 2018 (30-day to send back)

I am not sure if the office just want to gather all the documents first, then let me wait more (I was expecting 4-5 years) or they are actively working on approving my application......just do what I was told to do for now I guess....

"Number of applicants on this application" should include you + cosponsor + everyone you're sponsoring and their siblings I believe.

So in my case, im only sponsoring my father and mother, so I entered 3 to make it work. Also used principal applicants passport information.

Looking at the timelines of other fellow applicants, the processing time so far doesn't looks as excruciating as it use to be. Lets hope for the best!

Thanks! It doesn't say consecutive though (I checked CIC's website as well). If this is anything like the Citizenship application, my guess would be that they require 6 months cumulative.

You are making me work so hard - a simple search in CIC website is your answer. This info is express entry specific but criteria would be the same:

You must include police certificates when you apply for permanent residence.
Our online system will ask for a police certificate for:

You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada.
After you apply, an officer may ask for additional police certificates from any time in your life since you were 18 years old."

application received on may 8, 2018. AOR received july 17, 2018. still not able to link the application for my parents to GC key account. Any pointers how to do will be greatly appreciated.

Ok. Strange in my case, they are silent on sponsorship approval/decision. But documents are forwarded to the visa office for medical tests, and have asked us to submit police clearance & RPRF fee (in my case it would be sending the RPRF receipt).

I figured that out by hit and trial method. I could not link the PGP application until I put it 4 (my parents, myself and cosigner). This is helpful for others, thanks.

Btw, do you know if there is/will be an option for us to upload any documents? Visa office has asked us to submit police clearance reports for my parents and the RPRF fee (which I have already paid and do have a receipt). I am wondering if there is an option to submit electronically via My GC account. If not we have to post these documents. As of now, I can't find any option to upload these documents.
