Applications "under processing" for more than 15 months and not finalized

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question is background check similar for student applications I mean the time frame.I applied for a student visa online from Pakistan on 27 sep and still waiting med done biometrics done just stuck on background check...any idea anyone how long will it take or any chances of getting a study permit after this much time?

I’m in my 13th month, FSW-O and file being processee at LVO. Given that my medicals have expired and not extended by CIC and no request to redo them was sent, then I most probably will pass the 15 months mark :/

Hi I emailed Ralph Goodales office and got this reply.what does passed means?
“Dear Muzammal - I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Sept
2017.
All assessments are complete and passed.
The file is currently awaiting final review and decision.”

2 email ralph.goodale@parl.gc.ca (provide full details sich as uci no application no and ask him for the status. His staff will reply you with ss starting date and its current status)

I have been told this 2 months ago on replies to my 2 CSES that your file is in a queue to be reviewed by an officer.How long can it take for this step to be done with?any ideas?.

So, after almost 21 months of AOR, 17 months of SS, finally got my RFV email tonight. God helps all that are is this insanely long wait.

PPR: 12-Jul-2018

Total Time since AOR: 451 days (15 months)
Time in Security Screening: 293 days (9.77 months)

Completing 16 months now and still no news of ppr. Not in SS but a non accompanying dependent issue of medical delayed the application unreasonably for a longer period.
How long to wait, no idea as the VO never replies
