say I make 40,000 CAD annual Canadian income and 5,000 CAD annual foreign income. What is tax percentage I will be paying on each for each year ?

You will pay taxes on $45k as a whole. Same tax brackets for Canadian and Foreign income. If you have paid taxes on $5k earned abroad in a country with which Canada has a tax treaty , then you will pay

Canadian taxes on $45k minus tax already paid to foreign equivalent of CRA.

This won't reduce your overall tax liability but you won't be double taxed

Greetings,

I landed and stayed only for a month in Regina/Toronto in June 2018 and then returned back to homeland. Only thing I did during my stay is opened a Bank account. Plan to move permanently in Sep 2019. I'm working in a Canadian govt agency in my home country as a locally employed staff and they agreed to transfer resignation benefits to my Canadian Bank account. But I like to know:

-as this benefits earns in my country will it be taxable in Canada.

-Do I have to file a tax return on June 2019.
-Or I don't have to pay any tax being staying only a month after landed as immigrant.

thank you and appreciate experts view on this matter.

I think you are not tax resident of Canada, so no need to file return and pay tax.
