Did you get the pre-arrival letter before the medical exams?no it's not a matter of days. In fact, I received pre-arrival letter in January and BGIP in February.

there is more info in the notes and you can see the movement of your file.Whats so good about GCMS notes?
Just curious.
I had my medicals done upfront, my medicals were passed and extended right after the eligibility was passed.Did you get the pre-arrival letter before the medical exams?
Background check in progress. According to somebody in this forum, the next update after medical passed is BGIP. I assume that is the one that I got on Friday previous Pre-arrival letter on Saturday. Yes the format just says Background check, but you will see: your background check is in progress.
it shows in your GCKey.So how does one come to know that background check is in progress?
does it show on GCkey account or ECAS?
it shows in your GCKey.
this is BGIP2, yes.At the moment my GCKey status shows this
'Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.'
So does this mean BGIP ? Thanks and appreciate your help

. I know somebody at work who got the PR in 2 months after she passed the medical exams. I guess 3 months until she got her PR card. It all depends of your case, dependents, if you miss any document, many factors. At least people based in Canada, for Outland takes longer. I guess if you are in this group you are inland.Hi,

yes I am in-land. Hopefully, its 2 months. I know somebody at work who got the PR in 2 months after she passed the medical exams. I guess 3 months until she got her PR card. yes, it is normal. Is it normal to be in IP2 and received pre arrival when I have not yet had a medical request? I'm inland.
Thank you for your reply. I thought that most people completed medical before going into IP2?yes, it is normal.
You are still quite early in the process, I can't make any predictions unfortunately.Thank you for your reply. I thought that most people completed medical before going into IP2?
Do you have any idea how much time I would need to wait?
