Biometrics given from another country? Possible?

Hi,
I have been living in Saudi Arabia since 2007. I finished my highschool here and got an acceptance from a university in Canada.

I will be applying for my study permit online. Everything is ready and I will be submitting it by tomorrow. However, I am flying to Pakistan on the 13th. When asked for biometrics, can I give them in Pakistan?

In application form if you mentioned you are applying from Saudi Arabia then you should submit Biometrics from KSA. Since it is asked in application that from which country you are applying from. But after approval of visa if tou receive letter to submit your passports then you may do it in any country. I am saying all this because processing time from KSA and PAK is different. Thats why its best to do it from one place.

Secondly. In my opinion you should apply from home country Pakistan and mention it in your SOP that mostly you spent your time in Saudi Arabia your country of residence.
There are alot of benifits by doing it.
1) it will show visa officer your ties with your hone country. They will get to know that you can also go to home country in any case.
2) you also do not require to submit exit re-entry visa. Just submitting translation of iqama copy would be enough. And mention that your residence permit gets renew with your father residence permit annually.
Most importantly mention all of your ties to your home country. Letter from mother, siblings etc. That how much they love you and they cannot wait to see you soon after completing education. If you have a car in your name please attach registration translation as well.
Your father company letter. Stating his monthly or annual income, since how long he is in saudi arabia. If he owns savings account in Pakistan, also attach it. These all proof of home country ties are very very important.
I live in saudi arabia but also applied from pakistan in june.

But once again verify it by asking CIC that you can submit it from vfs pakistan or not

There is another way. Submit your paper based application from vfs saudi arabia. They will take your finger prints same time. Then you can go to pakistan and wait for processing

You can give your bio-metrics in any country where there is Canada VAC. Take a print of your biometrics letter once you are in Pakistan and go to one of three the Canada VACs of your choice and convenience (Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi) and don't forget to take your passport along.

Please do not misguide by giving the information for which you, yourself are not sure.
FYI, biometrics can be taken anywhere where there is VAC. Individual's biometrics information goes to GCMS to his/her own file regardless of the VAC location

Well thanks for the information. If you really do know about the process. Hopefully it will solve his travelling problem. But my actual point was to inform him that its always recommended to apply from home country. There been several refusals from saudi arabia on the base of immigration status in saudi arabia. Which is quite awkward to understand. The residence permit system of foregin nationals in saudi arabia raise alot of questions for visa officers because residents have to take permission from saudi governemt to travel outside saudi arabia in case of emolyee he/she cannot live outside saudi arabia more than 6 months and in case of dependants they cannot live outside saudi arabia more than 1 year. And VO afraids to issue a study permit when they think student have to travel back to saudi arabia during his semester to apply for new exit visa (permission to go out from saudi arabia) for further 6 months.

Well said but I am not concerned if he should apply from SA or Pakistan. He was asking if biometrics can be completed in Pakistan or not if he applies from SA

Thanks for your input! I will try it your way then. Will submit my application from Pakistan. I have an issue with bank statements not being regular so I am not really expecting anything. I was going to defer my admission to January as soon as I got my acceptance but thought might as well give a shot and see what happens. One can get lucky sometimes.

Thanks for the clarification! I will apply from Pakistan itself. If it doesnt work out, I can defer my admission. I will return to KSA by September so will apply from here itself. My initial plan was for January due to the an issue with bank statements not being regular but I thought might as well try.

As long as its legitimate amount. You should have no problem at all. If you are talking about inconsistency then do not worry. Me my self my several salaries were delayed from my employer and it deposited altogether in different months. But the transaction was authentic.
