No regular calendar days, are you planning to travel then PR is important - if not then hang tight less touch points with CIC the better. But if you guys have travel plans then I say please apply for PR you are allowed to apply 3 months in advance no harm in that .I know many cases where people have applied but have then received their Canadian citizenship before the new PR card.

You've mentioned less touch point. I called CIC two weeks ago and last week I requested GCMS note. Will this impact the application?

Thanks for the advice. That's the route I'll take as we are planning to visit Europe. There is another headache that we have to buy in travel/medical inurance in order to get Schengen countries visa. It is part of requirement for Canadian PR. I wished my spouse got an invitation for a test before the travel date. It costs us more to travel.

GCMS notes are nothing but a system extract of all the updates entered in the system - you should look for whether it says your security clearance is done - as the next step would be the test invite - also remember the notes generated will be 30 days old from the date you receive or it will be from the date you applied as it takes 30 days to reach you. Don't get overwhelmed by number of pages ...just look at the place where it says security ..whether it is updated or pending.

I dont think gcms will show security check status. I believe its always hidden.

Btw, my spouse called ircc and was told that she can expect the test in next 2-3 months.

We are Oct 16 aor, nov 23 in process applicants.

After whole one year my status became disicion made on 30th June . But no oath invitation yet no more update on eCas .do u hv any idea how long it will take to send oath invitation . I applied on 25 th July 2017 . IP was 12 September 2017. Test on 11 th Jan 2018 .DM on 30 th June 2018 . Mississauga. Thanks .

Maybe the one who answered your call runs that in their family;
An example, when will the winter end, 2-3 months.
When are we going to the wonderland, 2-3 months..
I wish someone else makes it possible for you in the next 2 to 3 WEEKS.

Thank u .No it is a regular simple case .
Thay only requested for coloured photocopy of my passport . No other paper was requested .
