Please update the sheet with my Oath Ceremony date 18th July at Scarborough Center, I am a Nov 6th applicant and line 101 in the sheet.

Great to see a Torontonian @ Scar making it through. Good luck and all the best wishes.

Hopefully we will see a batch of oath invitations for Scarborough coming in soon. They have 23 oath swearing ceremonies scheduled for July. :)
How do you know that ??

Hello!

I also wrote to them, indicating that we will be traveling outside Canada for some time, requesting a date after return date. I havent heard back.

In the event that the oath date is set before we return, we will have to miss the oath.

My questions to all:

1/ How does one reschedule if oath date change is required?

2/ What are the consequences of missing a scheduled date of oath.

Within 30 days of missing the oath - you either write to cic (address is on the oath letter) or email the cic or let them know in advance using webform or call center about your traveling plans and they add a note on the file.

consequences are if you dont let them know within 30 days - application is treated as abandoned. if you do let them know on time - you will be rescheduled 1-2 months down the line.

good luck!
PS: the below is in my oath invite letter.
If you are unable to attend this event, please contact us as soon as possible to request a new date. Please include a reasonable explanation as to why you are unable to attend.

Mailing Address:
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Office (3122)
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa, ON
K1A 1L1
We ask that you inform us within thirty (30) days of the appointment date of your unavailability for this appointment, and any other periods of unavailability. The Citizenship Act contains provisions that treat an application as abandoned if applicants do not respond to a notice to appear with a reasonable explanation for not being able to attend. It is therefore very important that you contact IRCC as soon as possible if you cannot attend.

Good morning all!!

Me and my wife is DM since 8th May. No oath invitation yet. Our PR card is expiring in September. Should I apply for a new PR card? Please suggest.

Thanks.
If you or your wife planning to leave Canada then you need to renew PR else you don’t have to renew. My PR expired June 15 and my oath was on July 1st.

Initial test date May 24 ( asked to reschedule)
Received another test invite, test date today, passed 20/20. please update!thank you!
Will update here once receive the path letter.

Hi there,
A friend got invitation for two different dates. One for July and another one came last week for August.
Anybody been in this situation before? Should he go for the July one as it's the one on the IRCC status website? Any idea would be appreciated.
Thanks

Go for the July one first. In case it's a mistake you can go to the Aug one.

Give it few more days. My status was changed to "Complete" after a week or so of taking oath and a 4th line added stating "You became a Canadian citizen on June 22, 2018."
You're right. My ECAS updated to "Complete" today with a new line that says "You became a Canadian citizen on June 29, 2018", right after the IP line. There's no line for test/interview at all.

Received oath invite today (july 4th) for august 31st oath ceremony. Please update the tracker. Thanks
