Suggestions please:

My spouse is pregnant and we are expecting our first baby this fall. Can I ask for faster processing (test invite atleast) to avoid stress during final months of pregnancy? Will it backfire by cic delaying it further? We are Oct 16 2017 applicants and our applications are in process since Nov 23.

It doesn’t fit the criteria for urgent processing, so just don’t waste your time asking for it - I am pretty sure even if I tell them I plan to commit suicide and want to die as a Canadian citizen , they still wouldn’t give me urgent processing

As per tracker, only 46% of Mississauga October applicants have received test invite as of today. How accurate is this statistic? I.e is it possible that a vast majority of folks in the tracker are not active in the forum anymore and their status is not updated in tracker?

The existence and growth of this thread pretty much have proved it's common for GTA applicants

For Mississauga, anything less than a year is an outlier and a miracle. I have surrendered to the fact that nothing will happen before one year, now the concern is how much more after one year will it take.

Are there any cases of the processing going over 1 year? I mean for straightforward cases.

An update, I received my test invite after 181 days of radio silence ..my test will be held in Mississauga on the 25th July. Hope this gives you guys some benchmark on what to expect if you are still less than 181 days from your IP status. I know it is excruciatingly painful.

When exactly did you apply (AoR)? And did you get and ECAS update today? Or is it through Canada Post?

What do you mean apply for AOR ? ..I used the change in my status to IP as the start date to test invite date to calculate the 181 days. I received the invite thru Canada Post ..though when I called CIC few weeks back they said the update will come thru email as that was my preferred contact choice.

IP over 200+ Days still nothing

I understand what is AOR ..I could not understand what you meant by apply for AOR? Now I get it you need my timeline information

You can see from my signature I applied in November (1st) ..AOR was early December , IP was 28th December ..applied from Brampton ..but is considered Mississauga office.
