If you re applying for EE, read the notes at the bottom of the link you provided. See below:

Do I need to provide a Police Certificate for Express Entry?

Yes, but only after you submit your application. When you apply for permanent residence, you will be asked to upload a police certificate. Instead, you must upload a document that states: “I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate.”

We will then review your application. If it is otherwise complete, we will send you more information on how to get a police certificate. Please read the instructions above for more information.

We will not accept police certificates sent by mail for Express Entry applications.

Please help.
What if I am no longer a resident or have legal resident status in Saudi Arabia, will I still need a PCC? In the same link it says:-

If you are not a citizen of Saudi Arabia:
If you live in Saudi Arabia:
Certificates are available only to current legal residents.

If you have current legal residence status in Saudi Arabia, follow the directions above for citizens of Saudi Arabia who live in Saudi Arabia.

If you do not have current legal residence status in Saudi Arabia, you are not required to provide a Saudi Arabian police certificate. If you are asked for a police certificate from Saudi Arabia, write: “I cannot provide a police certificate for the time I spent in Saudi Arabia because certificates are only available to people who have current legal residence status.”

Hello, I forgot to include the back page of my brother's Citizenship document in my application of which I'm claiming points. I have already raised a CSE regarding this, do you think it can be grounds for rejection?

Canada site states the following for the sibling portion:
As applicable to their situation, applicants are required to submit the following documents through their online account as part of their e-APR. The system does not let applicants submit their e-APR until documents have been uploaded into the provided fields.

In contrast to other documents, however, applications will not be rejected as “incomplete” if the documents listed below are not provided to the proper specification.

Yes there may be reason for them to reject your application. But it very much depends on the officer processing your file. There are few cases where people in similar situation went ahead without getting rejected. Why to take risk if you can correct it. You did it right by raising CSE. All will be fine now. Good luck!

Thanks, is there any way for me to call CIC regarding my CSE? I'm residing outside of Canada.

Hello @BillHyatt,
Can you please advice. I have submitted my EE PR application on 26th may with a LOE mentioning reason for not being able to submit my canadian spouse's current passport (we aren't in touch anymore so mot anle to share his documents. I havesubmitted his expired canadian passport though). I have passed medical on 6th June.

I just called CIC and agent told me that i have met eligibility and background checks have not started. When i asked him about VO, he said file is still in case processing centre.

What is the next process after eligibility and at what stage they send application to VO?

Also, Does eligibility met means application is complete and they are satisfied with all the documents and don't need any additional documents?

Please reply!

Part 2 of 2: Most Common Reasons for Rejection

Most common is PCC:

a. Not included

b. No Coloured Scan attached

c. Dates don't cover complete period of stay (for e.g. you stayed in one address until 13th August but PCC cover dates till 31st July – don’t miss even one day)

d. The wrong PCC attached (includes not attaching PCC where you have lived more than 6 months – calculate your stay duration by adding all stays and include PCC if combine stay is 180 days or more)

e. LOE: Not writing explanation of why you weren’t able to attach PCC required and what you have done so far – attach evidence such as PCC Application submitted

f. Incomplete Documents – Some countries require additional documents such as consent forms for IRCC to directly get info therefore, it is important to read carefully CIC Guidance for each specific country before applying.

g. States PCC – Some countries do not have Central/Federal PCC System and therefore, you are advised to get PCC from all states you have lived (For work, study, and residential purpose excluding short stays). In addition, read CIC guidance, as they sometimes require Federal PCC as well instead of just State PCC.

h. Change in Circumstance such as visiting country after having PCC will not remain valid so you need to be careful and may need to apply for PCC again.

Medical Reports:

a. This includes failure to get Upfront Medical or After Letter from IRCC for any reason.

b. In addition, if you have any physical or mental issues the IRCC will reject your application and will advise you to set a meeting with your panellist for further advice or treatment plans – I know some people who recovered after some medication or physiatrist help and got PR later on.

c. Very rare but most significant error I saw was when one person submitted a report from a doctor who was not registered as approved panellist – see from CIC website before booking appointment.

d. Ensure you know what tests are required. Although, it is very rare on one occasion candidate only told panellist that she needs a test for Canada not indicating PR (nowadays for EE) and result was that Full Examination was not done resulting in rejection. {However, that panellist was dropped from approved list after short time but you must be careful if you are not booking appointment from well-reputed institute or Doctor.}

Conversion of Files:

a. Only convert files in the approved format and not just what suits best to you

b. If you are using software’s or online tools for PDF conversion then it is recommended to test it on different readers (such as Foxit or Adobe) before submitting. IRCC will be using Adobe Acrobat so make sure your files (all pages) will open in it. There is a case where IRCC rejected the incomplete application due to files not opening in Adobe (file was converted using Foxit).

c. Your documents must be clear and readable after reducing its size (it is recommended to not have a file below 150)

d. Always convert or scan your file in Color version unless where states by the IRCC to have a grayscale or black and white.

Passport and Visa Status:

a. It is important to attach your Passports and Residential Cards (if applicable) along with your file.

b. Make sure all pages with stamps are also included as IRCC rejected the application in past for not having a stamp for existing of one of the countries.

Education:

a. Not including ECA report or only including ECA number

b. Not including Degrees and Transcripts – please note that IRCC will reject incomplete files unlike OINP, which asks for additional information.

c. If you have distant learning course or studied in a different country than where the Institute is located then include this in Letter of Explanation and clearly mention your status.

Experience:

a. Not including Job responsibility letters or not matching with NOC.

b. Documents submitted cannot be verified the due lack of information of company available online.

c. Company registered in the house or residential area that may raise the question on quality of work performed.

d. Could not answer questions or satisfy officer during a formal interview.

These are the most common Reasons identified from the sample of more than 1,000 applicants in 2016/17.

Hi everyone,

I got my ITA in the 93rd draw and just submitted my application yesterday. I have realized I made a mistake/discrepancy between the personal history and my supporting documents:
I have been living in Canada at the first address from 21 Aug 2016 to 31 Oct 2017, then have lived at the second address from 1 Nov 2017 until now. Both addresses are in Winnipeg.

In my personal history, I can't remember if I put the right date on which I moved to the 2nd address or not. However, in my supporting document, I'm sure that I provided the notarized Roommate Agreement among me and the other 2 roommates which mentions the wrong leasing period (starting date 1 Dec 2017, instead of 1 Nov 2017). That agreement was used to explain their transactions to my bank account since I'm responsible to pay the rent and utility bills for all 3 of us.

Will that affect my application process? Do you think VO considers it as misrepresentation?

Thank you in advance.

Has there been rejection wherein NOC does not match with the list of education requirements for that NOC?
If the NOC requires specialized degree, then yes.

I went to Panel physicians and he did my medical for EE after i received ITA. After 2-3 days he called me and informed that your X-ray report shows some abnormality and you need to go see your family Dr. but you dont have to do any more test Canada immigration. What that mean, later he emailed me the report and it shows that my heart was little enlarged on right??

Is that a problem?? Can anyone help me here?? I then went to my family Dr in USA and they got my 2 views X ray taken but everything came normal in those reports.
