Good afternoon everyone! I have a question is the 12 months caluclated from time Mississauga received the app or when Kingston started processing it? Thank you for your answers in advance.

Should be from Mississauga but I’ve seen where others have said KVO said it’s from when they receive it.

I have personally exchanged my Jamaican drivers license for a drivers licence in Ontario .. and so has 3 other members of my family. My father did the eye test and was given G , I received G2 based on my history at that time.... Im not sure why Jamaica isn't on that list ... but better safe than sorry do what you gotta do ..



I guess things have changed .. I just walked in with my Jamaican DL ..and walked out with a G2 after completing eye and written test ... it was so easy took me a few hours tho .. DMV was packed!

When I spoke to immigration when I first apply I called and they told me not to worry dont matter when they start my application they go off the date they receive it

We have only been asked to complete medicals last year. Other than that nothing else. I filed PR and CR together.

I first did this in 2010 when I immigrated to Canada lol .. guess that was VERY long ago when I think about it lol ..

I don’t think the timeline is a year if you send all the required paperwork. We just did the dependant sponsorship and they told us 10 months but it took them under 6 months from the day we submitted to when we got the visa. They received her application on February 1st and my stepdaughter will be here this Friday.
