15000 applications would be accepted and they might call a draw if they dont get 15000 as 5000 are from last years left over applications.

Many of us are waiting for second draw but dont expect untill july end as they have to assess current applications and their sponsorship approvals before giving out new invitiations.

I bet there would be another draw as I wouldn't expect they would get 15000 applications.

Let's hope there be 2nd round this year... Last year, it was on September 6th so this year I hope it could be sooner

Just checked Ecas - sponsor’s decision made I think it happened yesterday but no email yet. Even when I check mycic account it showed application status updated but no message in the inbox.

I hope it’s a positive decision made to sponsor parents.

Guys, may I have a question. I got en email requested for additional document (my parent's divorce certification). I have faxed over to the visa office last week. Is there any way that I could check whether the visa officer has received my fax? Or what is the next step if they have received the fax? Should I mail over the original documents? Great thanks.

Hi everyone, I was able to check using online tool just today, both sponsorship and permanent residence application the status is APPLICATION RECEIVED, the application was received in Ottawa last April 30, 2018 thanks

so i checked my cic after a month today. didnt show anything.

so i logged into the ecas thing, it says decision made for sponsorship app status, doesnt say approved or not.
the PR status says in process.
im guessing thats good....

You are able to check if cic received your document via your linked cic account. It will show a few days after you fax your document telling you they received required documents. It's not necessary to mail the original.

Hi my application was received in Ottawa on 8th May. I am still unable to link my application and I have not received an AOR either. Have other people with similar similar submission dates heard from CIC ye?

I'd try with payment receipt IMM5401. You can enter either the sponsor or applicant's info. For sponsor, it'd show both the sponsorship as well as PR status. For applicant, it'd show only PR.
