Querry related to the Student Direct Stream (SDS) program recently launched by IRCC

I guess I forgot to mention that I've already applied for college and would be travelling to India for my visa application (Since they would require my passport for processing)
Would I be eligible to go through the SDS stream?

I guess that's fine but I don't see why you had to apply from India since you don't live there, I also imagine it would be quicker in Bahrain due to fewer students.

Bahrain do not have VFS center ....Bahraini national and Bahraini resident need to apply from Abu Dhabi...which becomes tbird country for me and also my bank are in India

I applied online only...and had mentioned country of residence as Bharain... Will my visa be processed from India or Bahrain....please someone confirm me?

According to CIC online applications can be processed anywhere because they are electronic records they can distribute them to different processing centers based on demand, don't know how true this is in practice.

Actually I wanted to attach some additonal document to my application via IRCC webform, where i have to select the Visa center. What should i select

Anyone know information on whether IELTS General is accepted for this program? I have applied to Universities with my TOEFL scores and have IELTS General scores.

I have paid 14,950CAD as tution fee buty university refuse to mention full year tution fee in my receipt.
So I want to know, am I eligible to apply under SDS?

Your full year tuition is in your offer/acceptance letter right? And you have the receipt as well. So its fine.

within 45 days is what its mentioned , but yet to know the average real time they take since its newly launched

Hello,

To support the growth in study permit applications, IRCC recently announced the Student Direct Stream (SDS), which is available to students applying for a study permit from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines.
In the list of documents required, it is mentioned that score of at least 6 for English (International English Language Testing System) is required. Since most universities accept TOEFL score, I did not bother writing IELTS. I also have an admit from Trent University. Could you please let me know if I can apply to the Student Direct Steam(for a study permit) with my TOEFL scores as well or if IELTS is mandatory? Thanks in advance.

I am also in the same situation. I called VFS global( official CANADA visa handler in INDIA) regarding this. They suggested me to apply using TOEFL score and add an application request with complete visa application and go ahead. Please let me know if you have any other information???
