I am very sorry for a lengthy post. But I request you to go through and reply please.
I am from India and currently residing in India. My boyfriend (same-sex, we both are male) is a PR and residing in Canada (he is also Indian). I am working in IT industry. My boyfriend is also employed. I recently applied for Visiting visa and got it approved, not through my boyfriend, but with an invitation letter from another friend. I have travel history to the USA and Norway.
This is our story: we have known each other since 2011 and we are in relationship since then. I was in USA when we started talking. I went back to India in mid 2012. Then by end of 2012, my boyfriend went to Canada on study permit, finished his masters and started working on post graduate work permit and then got his PR. Since 2012, he never came to India and I never visited him. Now my plan is to go to Canada on the visit visa and get married to him and get PR through sponsorship. I have all the records since 2011 to prove our case. I got couple of credit cards while in USA and got an add on card for him. Those are still active. My boyfriend owns a house in Canada. I did apply for PR in 2013, but got the application returned as incomplete since work details document was not as expected and did not include birth certificate (I did not have one, and was not aware to include affidavit, now I got it). Then in 2014, went to Norway, was there for two years, again travelled in 2017, had family issues, so never thought of going to Canada in all these years, and we were planning for him to get settled first. And yeah, I was financially helping him, so was not willing to take the risk of resigning from my work then.
The questions:
1. Now that everything is as we expected, with the above details, do you think it is a good option to go, get married and try PR through spousal sponsorship? Yes, I can go through Express Entry, but I am not getting enough points. And it has already been more than 5 years, and it is frustrating.
2. Since I got visit visa through another friend, if we submit proof since 2011, will it raise red flag, making the officer to question why did I not get the visit visa through my boyfriend? Reason why I did not get it through my boyfriend: he was on Employment insurance when I applied, but he is employed now (wasn't sure when he would get a job, so chose another friend).
3. Will the email history, chat history, credit card statements, financial records of me sending him money and vice versa, enough to prove that ours is a genuine relationship? Sadly we don't have lot of pictures together.
4. In my visit visa application, I mentioned the reason as summer vacation, but now I am planning to quit my job and then travel. Will it be something I should be concerned about?
5. Rather than sponsorship, should I consider getting a work permit through any employer/consultant there? I have very good experience (more than 11 years) and proving my skill set is not an issue.
FYI: He is employed with good pay, has own house, so I am not under pressure to look for a job immediately. Ofcourse will apply for open work permit along with sponsorship application.
