You have to meet LICO each year to qualify to sponsor your parents. If you are short 1500 - then your application will be refused.

I was on parental leave ei for part of the year is why im short by 1500.anyway thanks for replying.!

Unfortunately it doesn't matter why you are short. Either you meet LICO or you don't.

With 2018, 2019, 2020 income meeting LICO you can possibly apply to lottery in January 2021 if rules stay the same.

Note that parental leave EI counts to your LICO income for qualifying.

Assume it will be closer to $69K - although it could be a bit higher.
